Wtf happened here.
We went from shitting on CoC2 to debating about AI good or bad.

AI good.
Though in a way, if the AI will replace the incompetent workers then I'm all good for it.
If I receive another mail package thrown to my house instead of actually delivering it properly, Imma just murder their ass.
Or if another damn waiter saying tipping is mandatory, imma just shove the damn plate to their face, again.
Mofo, it ain't my obligation to pay your ass if the salary is that low.

God bless drones, brudder.

And now a rant of AI bad.
If I see another fucker who says they're an artist by using ai generated images, imma just block and pretend they never exist. :KEK:
They are an artistically challenged person:KEK:

I really feel like gouging my eyes.

Let me tell you something: innovation, just like everything we're responsible for are supposed to be CONTROLLED, not let off reins. It's a fucking foundation of any human civilisation: CONTROL. Anything with potential to cause chaos is controlled as far as we can see through history.

If some crap being able to cause chaos is not enough, imagine the not so far future where people of lower classes are completely fucked out of luck because they lost their job to automation. How do you think they'll get specialised education and a good job without money? From thin air? How will they educate their children? Help from the government? Good fucking luck.

Even more automation (based on stealing, too) in our current political climate means the poor will get fucked, it's as simple as that.
Automation goes brr.The poor will die,the middle class will also die(but in a slower and more cooler way) and the rich will do whatever the rich do.Tis what it is

Ok. First of all, I'm not from america. Stop being so egocentric, ameritards.
Second of all. I'm not opposing AI because it threatens my job, but because I fucking hate it and think that it's morally abhorrent.
Too late, you became American the moment I began associating you with a South Park meme, update your passport and get packing (or just immigrate illegally, I hear that's what cool kids do)

And when the rich inevitably kill themselves off in some stupid conflict, the only thing remain will be Twinkies and cockroaches. Not a bad run for humanity.(y)

One of the biggest pieces of wasted potential in this game is the fact that companions don't feel like companions. Hell, I feel closer to most of the shipmates in TiTS than I do the companions in this game. There are a lot of things that contribute to this feeling, but the biggest two are the characters lacking any sort of nuance and the fact that they have pretty much no content outside of the tavern besides some shitty flavor text for quests.

None of these characters have any internal or external struggle and it makes them incredibly boring. The only two that do were Berwyn and Cait. Berwyn's not even a companion anymore and it's hard to tell if Cait even fucking remembers about her sister half the time considering it seems like she cares more about spreading her legs and building some useless fucking temple. These characters don't struggle with anything. Sour relationships hardly exist and if they do, they're downplayed to the point of being an interesting piece of trivia. Literally all of them are along just for the ride, NONE of them are personally invested in the conflict besides Cait.

This might've been somewhat excusable if we actually got meaningful conversations or bonding time with companions, but those scenes are few and far between. And since those scenes are so rare, I have a hard time caring about them when they do come along. Like Arona saying she loves us in the bathhouse could've been nice, but there's absolutely 0 build-up to it so I just straight up don't believe it. Same thing goes for every other companion barring maybe Ryn.

This game had the potential to be so much more heart-felt and unique among Fenoxo games but they just pissed it away in favor of mindless shlock. It's genuinely heart-breaking to see.

I heard somewhere that Savin wanted Ryn to be in the place of Cait after the fact. Don't know if that's true, but it would've had a more interesting intro to the story. Kas' cult jumps Ryn and maybe a budding sociopath Alissa (or maybe she was just a jerk to Ryn at most) and take the latter away to toss her into the portal. Shapeshifter Kas sees the free ninety nine real estate at the Winter City and takes it over.

While Kas builds portal device you're trying to get Ryn to the Winter City to take the castle back and stop the invasion. At the end of the act, Alissa comes out of the portal all knocked up, delusional from her time in CoC1, and gives birth and demons out in front of everyone. More of a tragedy, since she managed to survive but failed at the finishing line.

I think you've got a sweetspot for that sort of stuff: a point between having their own things going, special characteristics to stand out but not to the point of overtaking the position of main character and just being fun enough to the point where the player wants to learn more about them.

Haven't played the game in ages but I do remember some of the noteworthy characters having like one of the three but not more than that and I don't remember Berwyn's shtick all that much.

Was gonna say Brienne was the closest of the bunch to suceed but that's probably because she's the only really nice one.

I've been playing since around the 0-3-xx versions
The only characters i've actually come to fucking enjoy are Cait and Kiyoko and the kitsune.
This is a game where almost none of your actions aside from killing characters have any fucking consequences.
I love the stories you can have in this game, I do genuinely have fun playing it, i've done around 6 fucking playthroughs now probably more when drunk or not really paying attention.
I wish that more stuff was like the Fox Den questline that leads to marriage and or selling your soul to bind yourself to a god in exchange for new content / altered content and buffs/skills.
If only they took the example of the Kitsune's and applied it to the rest of the game, this would be a much more fullfilling game.

Overall it's pretty good.
But if you don't marry Kiyoko and do her whole questline you miss out on some of the only truly great content here.
