Urta actually has quite the arc, her Dong God gets removed via a quest, she's never a turboslut, genuinely loves the player, treats player with respect, and all around great gal. She's a sad, drunk captain of the guard, not the "Omg I love you you're so great!" Cait.

Urta? How is Urta like Cait at all? She's not super promiscuous (she has sex with one prostitute before you meet her to control her urges), kind of a depressed drunk, is a futa who's ashamed of her own body...honestly I can't really think of anything she has in common with Cait.

The reason why people have animosity towards Urta mainly stems from
1) Like Cait to Savin She was originally Fenoxo's fursona self-insert though this has now changed to 'just an oc' and that her original idea/outline was 'character who also fucks all your companions' but in a buddy-buddy sense, something that was cancelled due to outrage.

2) Also Urta is, for lack of a better word, 'mildly monogamous' while it's possible to have a pure relation with her there are certain characters, like Amily the mouse girl from the ruins, who if you're dating both at the time, finds out and runs off to confront her to which next time you visit the bar to look for her you will find the both of them fucking (unless you have them meet first where the game will subtly try to nudge you into having them fuck). There's also the centaur prostitute who if i'm not mistaken she keeps fucking, and also Katherine (i may be wrong on that name) the hobo catgirl who you can train to be a guard. Enlisting Urta's help can lead/will lead to them fucking each other with you either joining or just watching and after Kath gets the job if you don't lay down boundaries they'll eventually start a relationship with each other (and you) with lines about how much they can't wait to fuck each other and often just banging without you entirely.

Personally, i don't enjoy most of Urta's content so i won't bash anyone who takes umbrage with her content being a bit more poly than they were expecting due to Urta wanting to fuck.

Wow didn't even know that shit about Urta, super fucking yikes. Can these devs for one second not be obsessed with putting in their own super special OCs into these games? It's kind of ridiculous at this point. And I'm sure there isn't even an option to say, "Hey, I'm not into partners who sleep around without even asking me if I'm alright with it, go kick rocks, bitch." It's seriously crazy how obsessed these guys are with NPCs that sleep around, without you being able to do really anything about it.

Literally every new thing I find out about these devs makes me think less of them, it's absolutely fucking bonkers. Murphy's Law is absolutely reaming my asshole like Kassyra does to my PC, jesus christ man.

I mean you can just not get that ending pretty easily, it's not like it's forced. In fact, CoC1 does a way better job at allowing the player to ignore whatever character/fetish they don't like. Feel like you would appreciate some characters in that game.

Oh and yeah you can opt-out of characters, unlike coc2 companion system. Urta actually can fuck up her relationship with you several times, it's impressive.

Pretty much all content is avoidable, and any slice of content you want is there in much more excess than CoC2. Most pure followers can even be corrupted. I highly recommend it, despite the flags. Also, Marble is another cowgirl you can attach yourself to

Gotta fourth red flag for ya though. There used to be (idk about anymore) a Silly Mode encounter where you literally run into My Little Pony characters You can even get a mlp centaur body with your own stamp thing.

It seems like F95 is the most hated forum for discussion about CoC2. Even more than 4Chan, why is this? I mean sure there are some dumb comments here and there but I just find this so strange.

Not to be that guy and all, but its a pretty weird echo chamber here as well. The only real difference is levels of moderation.

Like as a person who actually still likes most of what CoC2 does, its hard to actually want to voice that opinion for fear that the forums will shit all over me for it.

Edit: Also, Skandranon is literally always defending them and no one has attacked just debated. If anything, myself and others have a respect for his staunch defense of many actions they make. Constantly fact checking, always watching from afar for one wrong statement. Love the dude/ette for it.

I've greatly enjoyed all the Khorminos stuff for the most part.

The nice little bath scene with Arona with a nice treat I wasnt expecting as well.

The Dawnsword questline was pretty neat, if a bit short, but the nice little variations based off companions was a neat little touch.

CoC2 has lacked big content patches for a while, and some of its really touted ones as big ones really are pretty small in general (this Berry quest one being one of them), but the little stuff still really fleshes out a lot of empty areas. Like the addition of the maids in the wayfort doesnt really do anything and the scenes themselves are pretty short, but it makes the area actually feel alive. Considering how large the area is and how few things are actually there (and how little content some of it has gotten, poor Alurane) its nice for it to feel a bit more alive.

I sort of get the complaints about lack of real content recently, and the devs tendency to do weird tangents, but the actual additions arent nearly as bad as people make them out to be.

Like, this Berry quest is a really obvious one right? Berwyn has gotten 0 content in, what...year+? That's as close to abandoned as you can get. For people who want Berwyn to essentially stay the same as is, just dont accept the quest. Berwyns content stays exactly as is and you've essentially lost nothing. For people who want the new content you get a neat dungeon (if very confusing for my tiny dumb person brain), a nothing fight, then some decent writing followed by an actually pretty cool double fight.

I'm whatever on the conclusion allowing you to customize Berwyn entirely. I get it from a player standpoint, you get the Berry you want, no muss no fuss, but from a writing standpoint it felt a bit silly. Its apparently Berwyn realizing what their body was before the forced change, except its the player guiding the change entirely? Its weirdge, but again, whatever.

And if you do follow the story thread, the scenes afterwards are quite nice imo. The submission/dominance system is barebones as fuck, sure, but the scenes themselves are quite nice especially the submission ones.

The only legitimate complaint is lost dev time from people who just dont give a shit about Berwyn (me!), but like that's kind of a tough titties situation imo? Like requests are requests, and sometimes writers just really want to close out a story at some point. Berwyns been sitting there forever with a loose plot thread just dangling. I dont fault the writers for wanting to finally pull that thread and finish it off.

BerryQuest could have at least not deleted the old content, yknow? Like you're not wrong about it being time to finish his story, but remove as a companion? I agree from meta standpoint ofc it's great you get the Ber you want, but it also feels like a disservice to his character what with him being changed by his old mentor and all.

Also, what dom/sub in these games aren't barebones?

Based off what the original writer is saying, they were forced out, not that they left. Which if thats the case it makes the devs look worst, as they fired someone without finding a replacement writer. And there should be no excuse about cost as they should be able to use the money they were paying hugs to hire a new writer.

But the long and short is I agree with you. Whether Hugs quit or was fired it would be on the devs to fix the situation instead of playing the blame game.

Berwyn IMO was a fun character because you could coddle or bully him. It felt a lot more dynamic than say the one way street we get with other characters. It had potential and I liked the bits of info on how he interacted with other NPCs and such.

And I sympathize with his character a bit, a mistress who turned him into a horn dog and him trying to work with the state of affairs and such. My situation wasn't exactly like that, but did date a nympho who kinda warped my idea of sex for a good while till I resolve those issues years later.

When it comes to Berwyn, I think the biggest issue is that they didn't tell anyone.

I understand the reasons behind the decision they made, and I think it wasn't a bad one, or at least the best that they had available.

But without any expectation management, it hit kinda hard. Wsan is pretty adamant that this was the best way to do it and telling people beforehand would have simply resulted in months of harassment and complaining, but I still think this wasn't the best way to break the news.

The difference is like you said, moderation but this is mainly just two sides refusing to communicate with each other either out of pettiness or fear of being banned.
I'm 100% sure most people who look at this forum wouldn't be here if they could actually voice their criticisms or opinions without a volatile reaction from the devs or people on the other side. Although that doesn't mean this place is perfect as well.

There actually is an option to break up with one or both of them over it. I don't remember if there's a way to avoid it at all though. I do know there's a way to set it up yourself so that it doesn't happen behind your back.

There are signs that a writter isn't comfortable with their work environment when they update less and less, Clearly the harassment from the retard brigade Savin/Tobs have (and more Tobs because you know) makes really hard to pump out a good companion without get the stink from the toxic devs with a delusion of grandeur.
