Afaik, the onsen matron character is still happening. Jstar is the one doing it, and has mentioned it being on his backlog to clear as recently as April that I know of.

The metalworker has been put on indefinite hiatus, because the house of foxes has enough characters for now.

Savins futa fox ronin I don't think has technically been canceled, but its definitely in a "if he ever gets to it" pile if not.

The delinquent wasn't a "him", it was gonna be a gyaru fox.


So really, two that are as of now definitely incoming, and two hail mary's.

I think that distinction is important in perception of a character, though. Hretha has a background and connection to other characters enough that I feel she's as well-rounded as a random NPC needs to be. She encourages you to romance Ragnild, sends you off to get the dress, gives her opinion on the well-being of the clan and her sister's place in it, etc.

Of course you can boil every NPC's importance down to "what fetish do they serve and/or do they have a mechanical impact", but the window dressing, and making them seem like they have a place in the world really does a lot for my perception of a character.

OK yeah sure, Hretha is the exception let's go with that. Still doesn't mean most NPCs actually feel like people, though. I'd rather most of them not even be sex-able if it meant actually having a reason to give a shit about the ones we do bang. Sucks that the game basically encourages you to pump and dump everybody you see. I just wanna play a PC who fucks the people they have a connection with but if I do that, I'm gating away like 80% of the content I'd otherwise see.

I don't know that I'd even put it on the level of a "problem", per se. More of a style than anything.

I'd say it's a problem if you want your characters to feel more human and if you want them taken seriously. A bit harder to do that if you meet someone and immediately fuck/get fucked by them. I feel like Brienne could've been much more impactful and organic if you didn't get the option to fuck her right away and got to explore her new femininity with her, and by proxy, have her fall in love with the PC over time rather than an immediate thing. Sort of like Fisianna from TiTS, or a ton of CoC characters like Urta, Helia, and Kiha. Gradual relationships is something CoC 1 does WAYYYYYY better than this game and it makes things feel more natural and the pay-off greater for when you actually get to do the deed with them. Granted the game isn't finished yet, but I doubt they'll change my mind on that.

Basically I just want the characters to have more depth. We already have a TON of different characters but they're all surface level, I want one where I can really sink my teeth into rather than just have a sampling of everything, y'know?

On a scale of Atugia to Brienne/Brint, where Atugia stands for near crushing apathy and Brienne/Brint for absolute feels, i'd say she easily makes it to controversial Arona. 'Kukukuku' neuroatypical Keros, even. Not the most well liked, and some true dislike in there, but definetely higher profile than loathsome Cait or even storage-dust Agni.

Didn't mention Quint because one bunny liking themselves isn't ground for anything

Straight guy here. Fairly simple reasoning for me.
I don't like porn with guys in it, doesn't interest me at all.
But i do like simple vanilla "penis in vagina" porn.
So the solution is simple, replace the guy with a futa.
I don't like self inserting in porn, either. So even less reason to play as a guy.
I always go pure fem, because then i can customise my perfect woman and have her get fucked by all kinds of futa/dickgirls.
