While I definitely wasn't being friendly with my tone, I wouldn't go as far as to call what I said vilinizing. I just made my argument how the author's desires supercede what one might expect of a character through what is already in the game. I'm pretty blunt in my delivery but I think there are other regulars here who are just as direct, if not more.I mean, yes? Savin does not want Ryn to have a vagina, there is really no need for him to give any more justifications beyond that. You can question him and ask him personally why he made such decision, and disagree with him, but vilinizing him is a step to far in my book.
How many characters that only have male genitalia are considered women in this game, though? There are plenty of herms that are considered womanly, even though a majority of them are more manly than not. Ryn to me feels more like a sissy than a female, which is further reinforced by the supposed lack of desire to get dedicked. The only logical explanation is that like the Nyrea from TiTS, the boreal elves are made to have a less conventional morphology but not as extreme. Even then you have the standard female/male counterparts so the only reason Ryn won't get a vagoo is Savin says so.And this game, and the writers, consider girls with dicks equally as womanly as ones that just have vaginas. Because having one does not make one less or more of a woman.
I just wish he wouldn't hamfist the "SHES A WOMAN" descriptions. Okay? Who asked. Is Ryn supposed to represent trans people? Why would someone with body dismorphia in a world with alchemical tfs not just, y'know, get as close as they can to what they see themselves as? The dick is w/e I just don't get why no vagoo.
