I bet tons of people would kill to have a job as easy as that. It's so easy to make fun of this game for literally everything surrounding it. At this point, the drama is more popular than the game itself. Kinda like how people see Chris-chan, in a way.

Like most Wikis, it's run by the community while the team just hosts it (so it's not inundated with ads) and maintains the backend.

I kinda feel the first game's reputation coasted quite a bit on the mods. CoC2 has a chance of doing the same.
Alas, we kinda need the game to finish for that to start, ain't it?
Speaking of mods, I wonder if they've ever updated the Xianxia one since 2024. Thing was fun.

From their discord it seems that it’s been having a lot of consistent gameplay updates. Like 2-3 a week that add in new perks/items/etc. A bit of bloat imo.
Content wise? Not so much afaik. I watch the changelog and I don’t think I’ve seen any content in a few months.

Ignoring that Coc2 is Very Positive on Steam, where there are 10x the reviews compared to here and where people had to buy the game review it as well. But who knows, maybe it's like an echo chamber circle jerk over there? Unlike here, am I right?

It's a paid porn game on Steam, not taking the money and running might as well be GOTY material over there. And that's assuming there's no intersection between the people paying on Patreon and the people paying there.

Fairly sure a great many people who bought the game on Steam are also patrons of the game.

Okay dude, be for real. There is no "most". That's what's referred to as a vocal minority. If you're using the like 20 people here that go on and on and on, bitching(and I'll be fair, it's not all bitching, there's legit grievances in there) about the exact same shit for hundreds of pages as your "most" then yeah, I'm on the money.

There's over 2k pages in this thread, there is no way in hell you're seriously implying only about 20 people here have grievances or misgivings about this game. MAYBE its close to that number as far as people that still chime in and to an extent follow the game still, but overall its been more than 20 people who have across the years and different forums/communities/etc etc. shared what they believe could be done to improve the game, and what its doing wrong

Getting into a tizzy or a slump about review scores on f95 is mostly meaningless with the amount of uncritical praise and hatred that flows in both directions on nearly every game on this website. The average abandoned ren'py game with questionable renders swims in 4s and 5s. While some really good games are barely over 3.
But really
I wanted to poke fun at the double down.
The person that so inspired you out of dormancy has 3 entire posts in this entire thread.
I doubt they're part of the 'echo chamber'. They also obviously haven't contributed to the last hundred or so pages of discussion.
Then why are you here? Awfully concerned with shouting at 20 people who affect no change for this game

You mean the 20 folks that are around now? Does that count Savin's PR man that showed up again? Funny as it'd be for the same folks to keep going over this thing for like eight years or so, that's not really the case.
Place just gathers more disgruntled people who eventually move on with the odd moderate here and there and the occasional defender who springs up from their forum/server for presumable brownie points with their gang. I'm here now, someone else will take my place and so on and so forth.
Until they are done with it, at least.

I just have a quick question, have you looked at the reviews on this site, notice anything different from steam? Steam has a very binary system where reception is based on whether owners of said game report they enjoyed the game or not, which is also why steam does both overall and recent due to how simplistic the review system is in the scoring essence. F95 is a site that uses 1-5 star system, coc2 at present is 2.9, that is low, but if this was just 20 people hate jerking it to the game it would be 1, yet a 2.9 shows a decent contingent people giving it high or mixed reviews alongside the negative ones. I can't disagree with your echo chamber if you refer to the present, but that is more indicative of where commiseration has gathered due to a denial of criticism. Also weird point regarding vocal minority in that you are not wrong that this thread is the vocal minority, but within the context of the post you were quoting feels clear that the post's "most" was in reference to detractors of the game not necessarily anyone that knows the game.
(Also about the 20 people thing, did a fun little exercises where I went to a random page on this thread in the past I chose 1013. The year is 2022 and I count 13 unique usernames, some of whom are still active just not here, almost like this thread has a bit over 6 years of history and a lot of baggage comes with that.)
TLDR: Cope and seethe that people have opinions and want to talk with people that agree with them.

Hi everyone, thread updated, download mode from here, and it works for 0.7.37 version and later, do not use the mode on the versions before that.
Another thing, if you can not install the script even with the videos giude, go at the end of download post, you will be seen "The Ultimate Guide" button, look at that guide.
