First of all, just bending over backwards and writing a character with no personality besides player convenience is lazy writing. Characters SHOULD have personalities and desires and preferences, otherwise they'd just be one dimensional plot devices there to appease the player alone and not very interesting. Second of all, I don't see the big deal about theoccasional updates she makes on the characters in the game by type; numbers don't lie, and that's pretty much the simplest and least asshole way of addressing spurious claims.

Not only did I not ask for a character with no personality, it's still lazy writing to ignore player preference and convenience in a game about it. She presents a situation and refuses the obvious answer because she doesn't want to imagine Ryn with a vagina. SHE is the one who chooses to make Ryn have these personality traits, SHE writes these situations, and SHE is the one who can make a solution but CHOOSES not to. She blames YOU for not having a vagina and for DARING to think the already feminine person should be the one to have one. She blames YOU for refusing to have Ryn's child and so forces Ryn's child onto others.

Fuck off with your Alypia defense squad shit. It makes you look like you're one of her friends or Alypia herself.

The Ryn situation is crazy another example of Savin not handling public relations well. First he never defined Ryn's character, practically made it confusing on purpose, reacted with a bunch of flimsy excuses and anger at being asked to dedick Ryn who is the most popular character to request that, and to this day has not clarified anything about Ryn to my knowledge.

CoC2 is the type of fuck up that has a myth dedicated to explaining why things are as bad as they are now and to serve as a cautionary tale. And much like how Greek mythology can be frequently boiled down to "Zeus fucked it up", CoC2's lore can be best described as "Savin fucked it up". Only you can swap Savin with Tobs, Bubs, Alypia, and Fen if you're feeling ungenerous.

On one hand you're probably right, on the other it seems like the guy dedicated to adding content specifically to "own the haters" would probably occasionally lurk to see if the haters feel owned yet. He's losing his cult's protection though. Emotional protection at least.

Alypia got in with Savin and wrote what he liked so she got special treatment and never seemed to realize she was getting special treatment others didn't, or that she was the embodiment of confidently incorrect and never knew what she was talking about and treated her headcanons as fact since Savin was in her corner.

Another companion ruined. Etheryn could have been the true poster girl of coc 2. Imagine if she had a pure and corrupt route or how each one respected the person he was. Not some trans lady seeking empowerment, but a victimized dude who even though his abuse and neglect is still trying to help his people. That he was willing to endure his sister's incestuous machinations, for Elven-kind but only ran away when he discovered demonic influences and had no-one to turn to. It would also make his hatred of demons feel more impactful as well.


Honestly, now that I think of it....it's really fucked that they totally ruined his character and forgot who he originally was. Misgendering him and making him into a her with christ-like qualities. It doesn't matter that his sister sissfied him because he always wanted to be a girl!! His sister might have been an abusive tyrant who gave herself and their kingdom up for cow-printed red dick, but Etheryn will forgive and forget. Like a shonen protag, even.

The pointlessness of it all also becomes a bit annoying. Savco bitched and sabotaged modding for no good reason as they'll eventually have to move on and let the project be on its own.

The sole way people won't mod CoC2 is if the project dies a death of indifference. And if that happens, Savin, you won't get enough of a backing to start a CoC3 fun-with-futas visual novel.

Even if he dies, most of us won't give a shit about it. Coc 2 only got popular by riding the coat-tails of coc 1 success, and most of coc 1 success was greatened by mods. Mods kept the game alive and relevant. People expected quality and freedom similar to what mods gave and got honey-dicked instead. But they gather enough people to keep them stable while alienating the original audience.

Low confidence Ryn would be perfect as a puppet ruler for the evil champion to command but I guess that's too evil and corrupt and not appealing at all

I felt high confidence was a better puppet due to being more self-sufiecent. (Head-canon time) But she wasn't independant in my eyes because all of her feats and progress was thanks to you. She is both in love with you and indebted to you. The champ is her first and only love in her eyes, who could replace you? Not to mention even though she loves her kingdom, she hates being a ruler and the responsibilities that come with it. If she was low confidence, I'd imagine she'd be a nervous wreck who struggled to do basic shit if you weren't there to hold her hand, but your quest requires you to be out and about. Giving her instructions would only take her so far and sense no-one else is corrupt, they would quickly realize how much she's in your pocket.

I alot of popular greek tales were actually changed to fit the views of guys like Ovid, The Roman Poet who equated the greek gods to nobles who abused their power. So he made them more dickish they they actually were. For example, Arachne was not turned to a spider because of being a better weaver than Athena. She was punished (lightly at that, Athena beat her head with a Loon and only turned her into a spider after she was about to killself, Athena did this out of pity) because she kept calling out Athena to 1v1 her and started making the most insulting weaving that she can do. Each one of these things separately is offence with grave punishments. Alot of other gods wouldn't have let it slide.


Alot of gods are straight villainized when they originally weren't like that. Zeus was actually pretty nice to mortals and I remember one of his stories, his crash out was justifed because he was hanging around these mortals who almost tricked him into eating human flesh(Zeus was heavily against cannibalism, alot of it had to do with the trauma of his father eating his brothers. So it's a big no no in his book). He turned them into lycanthropes in retaliation.

The above hyperbole serves to showcase what a fucking clown you are for taking Alypia's side. Because that is exactly what Alypia did to Etheryn's character. She took and rewrote it to suit her personal fetishes, ruining the character for everyone else.

Always seemed odd to me that Ryn could never have a vagina added without removing her dick. It's a porn game that's allegedly based around TFs, the dick and vagina needn't be mutually exclusive. True that wouldn't appease everyone, she'd remain futa just a different sub-type after all, but it's something and has some variety. Ryn is a black hole of ideas because how she supposedly interacts with the parser system and how Alypia has done the narrative equivalent to pissing on something to declare ownership.

At this point I'm also confused how being a demon alone is a bad end since, again, they're no different from anyone else in the setting and don't have a unifying leader commanding them like in the first game. It makes sense some of the time but those bad ends have being a demon be secondary to being captured and enslaved. But not all do that. Honestly it's baffling that being a demon isn't just treated as another perma-TF like the Kitsune and Valkyrie stuff by now.

I'm starting to think the parser system was a mistake.

The worst part about it is that they could just write a single event where Ryn temporarily gets a vagina, has a kid, and you could even handwave the speed of it with magic or just have an in-game timeskip if they have to be extra anal about it. This would completely bypass the parser system and make it so you don't have to account for any changes.

I guess what i would change about the winter city also leans into all the other factions you interact with in this game. I mean stop and think about it you are literally in bed with either high ranking people in the factions or even the literal leaders themselves, if savco even had a modicum of creativity in their bones they can write it to where if you play as a good character you unite them all under one banner to fight off the demons or work with the leaders to corrupt the faction and work against the gods and put them under the PCs rule. You know fallout NV esque
