Kinda wish we had more companion removal states or companion "Bad Ends". Mostly just for Cait and Ryn. Could get creative and actually make scenes for them. Honestly as much flak as Urta quest rightfully got, the whole NPC getting the treatment the player risks was nice and I' like that back.
By the way just did the Meridyx bad end. Jstar let me down. It's literally just an extra couple of paragraphs on her sex scenes saying "You're Demon Now LOL" and that's it. No wonder it wasn't advertised. Weird given he's written some good ones for the knot cave.
At this point I'm also confused how being a demon alone is a bad end since, again, they're no different from anyone else in the setting and don't have a unifying leader commanding them like in the first game. It makes sense some of the time but those bad ends have being a demon be secondary to being captured and enslaved. But not all do that. Honestly it's baffling that being a demon isn't just treated as another perma-TF like the Kitsune and Valkyrie stuff by now.
I like the idea but I also feel that most people would hate that. It would be a neat way to get rid of companions who would oppose you while playing new game + corruption run and powergaming. Demons in this game are by far the most unqiue type of species because they can actively transform their bodies into anything they want. I think becoming a true demon would be cool as hell, not only on the sexual shit but combat shit. Being able to feed on lethice of others to empower yourself, changing your fist into stone/steel mid punch, making yourself a giant monster. The skies the limit with the amount of cool shit you could do and how much more interesting the story could be. The difference demons have compared to others is they have a singulary vice that rules over them and guides their actions. They are also much more loose and accepting of sex because they are still sexual creatures. It is something they hunger for, regardless of their vices. They will always enjoy and crave sex. It also makes you noticeably less empathic towards others, you're good at sex but bad at telling/caring that you're traumatizing someone.
Farrah used to hate having to use sex to help her sell stuff and just felt sex was degrading in general, when she can her soul fucked out of her she just saw sex and sex appeal as something to make her an even better merchant. Her main vice is trade/commerce. She enjoys making money and bartering. Typical merchant shit. If it ain't sex or trade, she would find it pretty much impossible to pay attention or care.
Being a demon empowers you in many ways but robs you of a great deal of your humanity. It did take Kas some years to put herself together and not just be focused on her vices. So if you do become a true demon, I want to be able to choose what vices I have and then have some unique choices that relate to our background. Since I choose soldier, maybe my vice can be War/Conquest?
Not to mention being able to unlock special demon perks and abilities as you level and devour more souls. MAN THAT SHIT SOUNDS SO FUCKING COOL!
And for that reason, it will never happen in the base game.
1. They're too lazy to create an actual perm demon tf and and fix up the demon transformation badends that are already there. I'm don't think it pass 3
2. They treat the player of having coc1 demon rules, even though the demons that we've come across have complete agency in what they want to do, but because it'll contradict what they've already established, they're just going to leave it as a festering wound.
3. Savin is a cunt.
I feel like it's all 3. The only non-bad demons are special snowflake npcs, I guess. Fucking lame. I want to be EVIL and do EVIL shit. War-crimes golare.
It bothers me since Kas isn't unifying the demons and unlike CoC1, they aren't all working towards the same goal with a leader who can keep them in line, so there's no reason for being a demon alone to end the story. Maybe a fail state for the epilogue like the godsworn forms will probably be but not reason enough to be a bad end on its own.
Tbf in the original game Lethice didn't really do anything, there were a bunch of demons under her but she mostly just let them do their own shit until it became a issue for her then she'd smack them. They had a system that worked and got used to it. Which is why they never took the champ seriously, Zethaz lost his job, but they didn't send a fucking search party or anything.
They were in the position of the victors, so Lethice didn't feel a need to do shit. She was a stone-cold bitch and one of the first demons, so she had alot more power than most due to having early access to souls. She was also apparently pretty good at magic or something, I forgot.
Kas is strong but a majority of demons seem to have come from our plane and Kas isn't all that interested in cult shit because she has her own plans. Like Lethice, she's comfortable at the top and isn't really paying attention to all the openings she has. It took the champ warning her to be wary of Tollus, the backstabber mcgee, that he would stab her in the back and had ways of harming her.
My point is that I never felt it was unified well in both games. Kas is just far sloppier, which she shouldn't be because the gods are very present in this world. Though, maybe that could be her plan to have it this messy so everyone has to deal with different factions and she doesn't have to worry about a unified force turning against her, bringing only her most loyal around her. Could be cope on my part though. Kas wasn't a leader like Lethice, she was a researcher.
Speaking of the 1st game, I always wanted to corrupt Kiha, It's a shame no mods have ever taken that route(From what I know).
