What do you mean by black frames... if you mean it fades to black reasonably often then yes it is meant to do that
Several scenes have now stat checks and they have some differences between each route (e.g. a scene where playfulness is checked might have more of a petplay vibe to it if the girl's value is above the threshold).
Although they are labelled as route they are not the 4 main routes that the dev is building up with the game, just more diverse content that follows your choices (and what do I know they might matter a lot more down the line).
On an unrelated topic I soooo want to break Margo's mind somehow, that talk we have in her room on Day 4 comes so close if you go for corruption
I mean multiple black frames, like when he wakes up with ruby and she asks where his shorts are. Other times too.
"I just finished this masterpiece of a game and thought "Yep this is for sure Patreon worth! This is worth my money." Then I got to the end of game and FilthySloth said he will never take money. Well damn. Thank you for your amazing effort then my friend! Keep up this great work!"

Yea, depending on who the character I'm sharing with is, I don't always mind it (As long as it's my choice, or as in this case they were there first.) If a dev manages to make me care about a male npc, and I haven't decided that the girl they want to share is "my favorite" then I don't usually mind, after all it's just more porn; and if it's a girl I've decided to (at least pretend to) have on the "slut" or "slave" path then even better.

The changelog says "walkthrough mode incorporated" Does that mean that I don't need the WT mod anymore?

That is correct... the old Walkthough Mod will screw things up (probably... I haven't tried myself).

guess you didnt install the ruby restoration mod from lewdpatcher.com. Which is NOT in the OP. And doesnt seem to include the incest patch, so you need both. At least no need for WT mod, its in-game now, just OFF by default (so i ofc didnt even notice it at first)

The patch was downloaded via mega earlier and it was safe. Idk why it was removed and replaced with an anon link, I don't trust anonfiles and never download from it.
