yes its worth playing, depends on what you mean grindy? superpowered is actually more grindy than this game is. ofc said game also has even more content than this one, but few game are as big as this actually. i can think of.. 3-4 3d games on this fine site that are as big as this compared to Superpowered. And most of those grindy games are with super girls or been several years in dev.

Yes, there is animation as well, though the early ones were quite simple, they are improving in the newer ones.
