You know, once upon a time porn took a very long time to load with a dial up, we're talking like 3-5 minutes for static .jpg pictures, let alone video. Stories and erotica were always popular, even back when you had playboy/penthouse the stories were STILL such a turn on. I think it speaks of how generations are changing that you can't imagine and enjoy text without visual help. I mean on the one hand, its nice that technology is that advanced and catering to your wants, on the other, its just kind of sad you're unable to appreciate a well written story.

On another note, not everyone is a graphics wizard/has access to assets, but still has an idea. maybe someday they will get those things, but everyone starts somewhere. Just unfortunate not everyone has access to media/art to throw into their games, but perhaps if it gets enough support that changes over time.

I find it all very interesting. What makes people unable to enjoy text games, being so reliant on media?

It's either: a) weak or non-existing visual imagination(aphantasia, or untrained), b) simply not used to the idea, not open towards it.

I think it's the second situation. Although the visual aspect is a turn on for me when reading, a huge part of it is also the situations, the expectation, the interactions and the actios. Often what excites me the most isn't a particular scene I'm imagining, but what's happening during it, the emotion I imagine the characters having, the overall "theme" of the scene, the implications, the risks, the rewards, the rarity, sexuality is quite abstract and dualistic at times.

Anyway, no matter what reason it is the practical thing to do if a person wants to enjoy text games is to read a lot, read until you are able to enjoy reading. It will naturally transfer your interests to erotica once worlds inside books appear more real to you.

I am not sure what you mean by that. Are you referring to the Goddess statue in the second dungeon? Is there some bug with that?

The head slot is empty. That might be the problem.

StickyIckyCiC, the current version of the game (0.25.8) has an error at the start of the 2nd dungeon where 'img/tilesets/Inside_A5_D2.png' failed to load. I'm pretty sure version 0.25.4 never had this error before.

Katie is a strong fighter and any sexual encounter she has is on her terms (notwithstanding the player character because mages are always stronger than fighters)

I would like to see a genuine dating path with Katie where she becomes a companion at some point, because Sticky wrote her with such a goshdarn loveable personality. But there is little chance of that happening, so I'm neither going to worry about it nor am I going to harrass Sticky about it.

I don't have much hope of StickyIcky accepting my request and won't push the issue if he doesn't accept. Part of the reason I asked instead of giving up on the game as I usually do is because the groundwork seems to be already there, at least up to the point where I stopped playing.

I understand, that's somewhat how I feel about her and that's the other part of why I'm making this request. Yeah, except for everyone else who likes it the original way. That's why you get comments about entitlement (look that definition up). As why should your personal tastes come before everyone else who likes the character as she is, and have been around since to the start only to have her rewritten for you?

Asking for an addition to a game is much less problematic, as it doesn't remove existing content away from others. Will be contention maybe due to dev time, or if it's too off theme, but it's at least not messing around with stuff other people are already invested in.

And posting requests always have to have some limits. Because you can imagine if now I and everyone else posted a counter request to keep Katie the same. Or sleep around even more. And have Beatrice do the same etc. Becomes a spam war. Why content requests/polls that are run are for future content, not existing ones.

Yea, that's a less of a problematic suggestion. Still it will still come down to how well any suggestion is with the game theme. Maybe that was the problem with your prior suggestion. All the players of a game, especially after it's well into development, are there for those particular themes. The further from that theme any suggestion is, the more blowback there will be with the current players. With the usual response, if you want 'X', play a game with 'X' themes. As in if you want that, play a dating sim.

Because now, even though it's not replacing content people want, it's time being used for something most people aren't there for if it's against the general theme. So in this case, with a game where it's balls to the wall sex, and pretty lewd sex at that, a monogamist relationship doesn't really match.

Because it's a number games. Content takes the same amount of time. So if you're comparing content 'A' written for 99% of the player base, VS content 'B' written for 1%, that 1% is still view as getting special treatment. And we so far have potentially 2 that want more of a monogamist dating relationship. If something like that happens, it's usually because they paid $50 and became a super level Patreon heh.

The more minor content split of dom/sub katie relationship might have a more even 50/50 split as it was there from a start, hence that dual content is created. Also easier as a variable like that can just flavor their encounters. Having to remove encounters/scenes due to an exclusive relationship changes whole paths

Regardless of whether Katie is a slut or not, I don’t intend to change her behaviour. To me, it would be very unrealistic to assume Katie never has sex while adventuring, when the player very frequently does so. An exclusive relationship option with Katie from the first dungeon onwards wouldn’t work either, as that would completely gut the sexual content in the game. Katie has the most content in the game compared to any one other character, but it’s still probably less than 10% of all the sex scenes in total, so the game would feel pretty barren if you could only have sex with Katie.

I don’t intend for the player to find Katie having sex often, and when I do, it will always be with her domming someone else. If she was submissive, I feel like it would stray into cuckolding territory, which I’m not interested in. I also don’t intend to show Katie having any sort of sexual relationships with other characters, unless that’s to work in a threesome with the player.
