It would help if it would be possible to split the game in different parts where only the newest parts have to be downloaded. At the moment the game consists of 3 different parts :Here's my crunched version.
Note: This is an unofficial modified version of this game so if something goes wrong it goes wrong

- the old yacht (beta to v0.4)
- the island (v0.5)
- the new yacht (v0.6 and following)
While old yacht and island content is unchanged for months except for maybe some script lines to fix bugs, the new yacht content is growing. Still old yacht and island make about ca. 50% of the size of the archive (v0.5.3 = 529 MB) and we downloaded those images and scripts in their final state already several times, e.g. with versions v0.5, v0.6, v0.7, v0.8.
So maybe an agreed basic download pack of version v0.5 content and an update archive containing only the new stuff to update it to versions v0.6, v0.7, v0.8., so that both archives unpacked into the same folder result in a complete installation of newest version.

I'm sorry, but I have to ask... why? We are still talking about a less than 1Gb file for v0.8. That's a few minutes of download time...

Let's see... this game is really hard to play single-handed cause sooner or later you'll be in the need to keep both hands busy in "t-ssue matters"... just to increase the game experience,
but, it's entirely up to you.

It does not work that way ... unless we get access to the scripts and the variables and dev never touches them ui, or variables or ... but the fine gentleman rigth after you already explained several times all across this thread that the dev meddled with code all over the game also in 6th version and again in the 7th ... dev just likes to meddle with his script / story / events as a whole, no modularity...
It's not only the time.
Isn't there a limit for download of files bigger than around 1 GB when not registering to mega or other file hosters?
Soon CMA may have 1.5 GB or 2 GB, maybe around Xmas 2019.

That's only true for free MEGA downloads (daily transfer limit). I count at least 6-7 download options in the OP and I know for a fact that at least some of them impose no limits on file size or daily transfer.
