Rollback is NOT supported as it is known to cause serious problems and lead to unstable (or even broken) game states in CMA. My advice is to use the auto saves. The game creates a rotating save every time you make a choice, so it's very easy to just load and replay your latest choice.
Scrollack in not in the game's original designs. Almost all who have added this possibility by modding the game have reported bug problems. I would be very cautious with that if I were you

It's not a new engine. Nor is it a remaster in the usual sense. After 0.5 the yacht undergoes a story-tied re-design. Gary used the opportunity to improve the overall quality of not just the environment, but the renders as well. That resulted in drastic differences in quality between pre- and post-05.
It doesn't really matter, because you can go back to the Island at any time by talking to Rachel and experience a different ending. Ultimately, you'll want them all anyway.
