Oh, hello again!

The past two weeks have been me trying to balance work and the game. The 8 sections of classes that I am a teaching assistant for, they have the first exam 2 weeks ago, so this week has been grading, logging grades in, and return the exams to the professors. We have 400 students so...
  • We are only up about 13 renders.
  • The mod is done! I was able to test it and it works great, so it should be off to Mei's inbox soon.
  • Some 2D arts have been completed...I am still debating with myself how I should proceed with the availability of those artworks, because some artists do not allow private sharing and only accept public usage of those art. We will see.
Unfortunately, that's all I could do given the grading that I did. Onto the next two weeks:
  • I will try to wrap up the current sequence, which is about...I'd say 40-50 renders. Not easy, but not exactly hard either.
  • I will ask for Mei's help soon.
  • I should post something in the cool lounge for y'all again soon though, it's been a while.
That's it! I try to keep the work manageable so that I don't overpromise anything.

I will see you again soon!

Peppy

This took awhile, but... I've made a new, improved version of my walkthrough after taking the time to create a system for it.

Game Title: Cyberheart
Game Version: v0.3.5 (Extra 1)

If you have any suggestions, or if the download links are updated, please feel free to dm me.

Cheers!

As someone who spends a lot of time in HS2 character maker, I have to say these are very impressive HS2 characters. If I might ask - did the developer use any facial mods for them, except the "standard" Slider Unlocker and Bonemod? For example, I've no idea how to achieve such a prominent, "squarish" jaw like the brunette has here. May be there were some custom head shapes used?
Sorry if that's a frequently asked question.

All good, I don't mind questions! I've never heard of Slider Unlocker, so I probably haven't used that yet. I did use Bonemod though!

Other than that, it's pretty standard given what we have in HS2. You have lots of options to play with to shape the jaws like that, and to be, the hardest thing was actually dealing with eyelids. I found that the last option while you are creating face, wrinkles, to be helpful.

Thanks for the answer! It gives me hope, actually, that it's possible to achieve European-looking characters with the tools HS (F95 repack, that is) provides.

For anyone curious about the two bass solos by Meredith in Chapter 3, here they both are:
  1. Ichika Nito - "Bass riff that everyone likes"
  2. Charles Berthoud - "When they say 'play something LIT'" (a bit on the nose with that one DiPeppo ;))
Links to both will be included in the walkthrough for the next chapter.

Strange...I just restored the link though, thank you for letting me know!
No problem!

I took a break from all discord servers due to work. Im surprised that the community is still so small. Your game (until chapter 2 at least) looks really polished and beautiful. It def. needs more recognition!

Im gonna put it in my recommendations for a while for advertising kek

Good to hear, and I hope that you are doing okay.

Our community is small, but cozy :ROFLMAO: Really though, we will get there one day!

so did i just miss a secret update somewhere or are those 13 renders all thats happened in the last 10 months ? (last update on main page states no update since 2023/12/28) if thats the case you would think there would have been a bit more time to get a bit more done (saying this without knowing the backstory of course)

You’re right; there hasn’t been an update since the special episode about Meredith. I’ve tried to be as transparent as possible about my situation, and I've mentioned in every dev diary I've written as well just in case you want to read. Overall, this year hasn’t been the best for me. Despite my efforts to tackle each issue, new challenges keep arising. For example (and this is something I will write in my next dev diary), just two days ago, I woke up with severe pain in my lower left back for no apparent reason. It’s so intense that I can’t stand up straight or walk properly, making it difficult to find a comfortable position to sit and work. Is it just spasm? Is just dislocated disk? Herniated disk? I have no clue. When it rains, it pours, and I worry it sounds like I’m making every excuses under the sun for not working on the game.

With my main job in a graduate program, my commitment to making every render and animation the best it can be, and how this year throws me every issues known to mankind, progress has been... slower than I’d like. The good news, though, is that even if it’s slow, it’s still moving forward. :)

Hope that answers your question.

its good to hear its moving forward still and as said my last message was without any personal info so hearing this makes sense. but as i also tell my mods and friends always take care of yourself first so get that back in order before straining to much :D as for the game it really has some potential keep it up

No worries at all! I do not consider your message to have any meaning of offensive - I was just trying to as frank as possible too. As for the back, I hope that it either goes away soon or the next week clinic will let me know what's up - because this is the third day and there's little signs that it's getting any better.

Thanks for the kind wishes and words on the game! ;)

Kidney stone?
Doubt it. It came recently and unexpectedly. I don't think that it's problems related to bones, because I feel really tight in that area so maybe...muscle stuff? I most likely twisted something, but honestly, how - that's the question that I do not have answers to. Normally, I'm pretty active, like I would spend at least 2 hours exercising - so besides the pain itself, not being able to exercise or move really sucks.

We will see soon though!

Every time I've ever had one, it was abrupt and rapid onset pain, and then lasted until it passed. Always feels like lower back pain for me. But either way hopefully whatever it is moves on down the road quickly.
