First, I disagree with you regarding Melody. In terms of story structure, character architecture, etc, it has way more originality than 95% OG the other games out there. If you are considering only physical sex actions done as originality, then you are right. But then a variety of sex actions In itself is not particularly creative and original - it is the weaving of them in as part of an organic character/plot driven story that makes them creative and original.That is what bugs me. Not only for DMD, but also for many other incest games discussed on F95zone.
Guys are talking about romance, beautiful story, love, even art or whatever... But let's be honest : these games are just fap material with an extreme taboo fetish ! The problem is that there are so many games with incest at their core that people almost seem to believe that it's somewhat normal, that this fetish is just common.
Hell no ! It's ok to have fantasies about incest, not to cover our eyes with false pretexts like "love between two people", "beautiful story", "romance", etc...
And to those saying that Daughter's looks in DMD are just a graphic way to depict a 18 years old girl and nothing else, I'll say that I'm pretty sure that DMD had its success not only with the incestuous relationship as its core, but also with these girls looking like 14 yo schoolgirls. Let's get these things out of the game, and you have something with no originality and just pretty graphics (and a somewhat developed story). Look what happens with "Melody", the other game from the creators : its success is far less behind "Dating my daughter" because it has nothing really original : graphics are nice but girls are bland and uninteresting, no incest so no exciting taboos, etc...
I finally perfectly understand people saying that bestiality in DMD would destroy the story and their appeal for the game. But... if it's optional, it's not a problem, isn't it ? In DMD, we can already direct our daughter toward sharing, exhibitionism, bondage, and dirty talk, anal, and possibly a threesome relationship with Elena. But... all of these fetishes are optional and player CAN choose to let them happen or not. If for bestiality there is a warning from the father when the choice occurs, something like "Do I really want to see my daughter becoming more and more eager to do extreme things ?", with Yes/No choice, "NO" locking definitly bestiality from the next chapters of the story... then where is the problem ?
Like Longo McFap, I hope that these last petals of corruption will serve many purposes. Not for simply bringing anal = 1 petal, sex with Elena = 1 petal, cum inside without contraceptive = 1 petal. But for more "general" approach about the daughter's corruption, like 1 petal = ok to have sex with girls, 1 petal = ok to have sex in public, 1 petal = ok to dress and talk like a slut, 1 petal = ok to have bestiality, etc...
The best, overall, would be to have two routes where these petals will be used in totally different ways given the father's previous choice. But as the game is evolving right now (a visual novel with very little interactivity), I suppose it will never happen.
Anyway, if the authors can't read what we're talkiong about, I suppose that this discussion serves, alas, no purpose. I'd really like to have their two cents about this whole thing, though...
As for “success [of Melody] is far less behind [DMD]” - if you take f95 posts, then you are correct; if you take number of Patrons, then you are incorrect (though they had/have a difference of @ 200 Patrons I believe.)
As for MDots staff support in bestiality, one person discussed it with D (or hinted at it in a wishlist); there was discussion by another of it with Frank’s sister (kind of a punishment event); and I have been against it with D but okay with others. Have no idea where MDots stands on this as I never asked him.
I do know that (in this VN) incest has become SO much more normalized in this VN world compared to the real world. Take the male characters that have had more than one scene - three of them (MC, Jeff, and Olivia’s Dad) have hand incest. Add in that the only stated reason for a frowning on incest in this world is the view of society. There has not been, and probably won’t be, a discussion of genetic abnormalities in this VN as a reason against incest - imo in this world incest does not cause genetic issues. Instead, imo the societal issues revolve around the issue of parents being in a position of trust, so that incest with a daughter and a step or adopted daughter have the same weight.
We might still have beastiality yet, but I doubt it will be with D. D still has to work thru the following that have been hinted at through various means:
1 - anal
2 - rimming
3 - accept creampie - accept possible pregnancy
4 - marriage to MC
5 - threesome with Elena - Elena as housemate and MC’s sex partner
6 - accept Georgina/Jennifer as MC’s sex partners (and housemates, etc)
7 - accept swap with Margo
8 - whatever might come out of the hinted Rachel storyline
9 - whatever might come out of the Cassandra storyline
10 - whatever might come out of Martin storyline
11 - BDSM
12 - nude (and sexual) photography for someone other than MC
Given these probably have priority over D and incest, and the format is to work D thru each step in her character development, and DMD in this format is finite, imo D will not get to beastiality.

I think Milfy City is a great product, but it is not monthly. Then I don’t know if ICSTOR is realeasing product every month, like MDots is with the DMD/Melody combination. Does anyone else have information on this? Otherwise he has had releases with Milfy City as follows:

That being said - I have not followed that game on Patreon, so I don’t know how much release came in the subreleases, and I do know that the game is pretty robust in its releases by the amount of its copious release (pun intended).
In addition, MDots on the art/coding side is a one-man show. Perhaps ICSTOR is as well. Does anyone know if anyone in that group is credited with art/renders/coding beyond one person? (Btw, I’ve never downloaded the game but get all my Milfy updates from Turkvangogh off of Pornhub as it is so much quicker - so I’ve never seen the game’s credits)
I don’t envision DMD or Melody deviating off their current format or game mechanics. They should remain unified as to both products. The next product could deviate considerably - and maybe even dramatically - but that remains to be seen.

I have been putting this game off for years now (no idea why) but I FINALLY started playing a couple days ago.
This game....I... I have a hard time putting it into words.
It's absolutely amazing.
I've only just finished Chapter 1 and I have already grown so fond (and protective) of D and I'm so in love with F&Ds relationship. I have no qualms about the incest, but I admit that I'm rather shocked that a game built around that taboo/fetish could be one of the most romantic things I've witnessed.
I know me, and know I could never go so far as to share her with another male character and I've even been desperately avoiding sharing and exhibition points (I'm incredibly territorial by nature. Even in games. The nudist beach was tough for me) but I do admit that I am intrigued by the idea of adding Elena to the mix if it's handled right.
I'm wondering, though, does starting the MFF route with Elena lead to HER giving D her first orgasm, or does F still get to do it?
As pleasing a women is my own personal goal, I found that scene to be the single most romantic and sweetest thing I experienced in CH1. And there were so, so many wonderful things that happened in said chapter.
I think Elena taking any of Ds first times/experiences would kill any motivation I have to pursue that route, but if things can remain romantic even with Elena in the mix, and if she doesn't steal precious moments away, like the first orgasm, then I will definitely give it a try.

The Elena path does not change MC being the first in every category - except the few “breast grabs” Elena has in the beginning of Chapter 1. — Run a parallel path to your “D Only” path along with the “Elena/Lesbian” path.

Figured that if she didn't throw too big of a wrench into things that I would give her some love, too.
On a semi-related note... I hope they add more things like Elena acting like a dog when they were playing the card game.

Last I read (in this very thread a few pages back), it was planned for march.
It's 2 updates for Melody for every 1 of DMD. Melody got updated in Dec and Jan. DMD was last updated in Nov. And the next update for Melody is not until Feb. So in the absence of Mr. Dots actually saying it either is or isn't this month, i think it's safe to say it's this month.

Melody didn't get an update in January; MrDots took a month of vacation so everything has been pushed forward one month: Melody 23rd February and DMD March.

As interesting as D+MC+Elena would have been it would have been out of character for D. Her character is not a 2 dimensional sex-bot, like a lot of games. D has been very hesitant to have a sexual relationship with the MC and having Elena present would have freaked her out too much. Or at least that is how D comes off in the past updates.
