If you don't have an option for MC to be cucked/NTR/Share D, the game won't be worth it, it will be just like everyone else, vanilla = too weak

It's to prevent the game from being too large for people to easily download; if it was one large game, it'd be about 8GB, and a lot of people were getting annoyed at the size when the game was about 3GB. To fix the problem, Mr. Dots decided to split the game into smaller chapters. Is it a perfect solution? No, it is not. Is it a decent one? I'd say so. YMMV, of course.Freshly coming across DMD, this game have three chapters so far - all in their respected .exe? So basically each chapter is its own game? Honestly, I dont think I like this management

Well ok but why just not pack it into RAR, spliting it on parts and download it separately. Then just restore it in single RAR and extract. More easier to DL and still in one piece. I get it, some people have issues to DL large files. I've been there. But what is 8GB of HDD space today? If I would be playing this game, I have all chapters standing ready anyway - for when I finish up and be ready to play next chapter.
Furthermore, there is always someone who would love to create compressed version alltogether for those who don't have enough space.
Is there any chance there would be a complete version one day with all chapters together in one .exe? Maybe even some unnoficial version? I am honestly not trying to be annoying or bitching but its so much prefered option for me ...

In all seriousness it was a development decision not helped by the Patreon mess and I doubt the dev team will go back and change the coding

As I said, not a perfect solution. As for why it's the one they chose, the only person who can answer that question confidently is Mr. Dots. For everyone else, including myself, it's supposition. Actually, that might be inaccurate; Jeff Steele might know, I suppose.
It's a near certainty that it's a download issue rather than a storage one; as you said, 8GB of storage space is essentially negligible, but more importantly, a single file of 8GB and 3 smaller files totaling 8GB are functionally identical, in term of storage. Therefore, storage isn't the issue. But in terms of downloading, some people have issues downloading files of 3GB. The final size of this game is likely going to be closer to 9GB. Those people are going to have the same problem whether they download a single file of that size, or a collection of RAR parts totaling that size, so splitting it into parts like that isn't a viable solution to the problem.
It's theoretically possible, I suppose, but to the best of my knowledge, Mr. Dots has expressed no interest or intention in doing such a thing. On the other hand, it might be remarkably easy to do, and the kind of thing he might decide on impulsively; I don't know enough to speak with confidence on the topic.
I don't think you're annoying, or bitching; you're just expressing a preference, and an understandable one. Unfortunately, I don't think that what you're asking for exists, nor do I know if it ever will. I'd recommend preparing yourself for disappointment.

Logistically downloading larger files becomes an issue. Ironically it seems to be more of an issue for us pirates.

Can someone pls explain why in chapter one the morning after the casino the Mc is forced into the relationship path with the little std ridden tramp elena (sorry if she is your favorite character but cheap and easy springs to mind with her) ? As the night before I go home with D and in the morning elena is on the couch and apparently the MC had fooled around the previous night WTF!!

So lets say it will have a two more chapters (idk how many, still kinda thinking of give it a try so have no idea how much of a story is already in - i dont wanna potentionally spoilt to myself looking into it). 5 chapters, 5 .exe's. Thats logistical nightmare in my opinion. Same goes with the choices and save files that should matter to the next chapters as you progress.
Imagine playing Dreams of Desire with their 12 chapters each as different semi-standalone game. DL them one by one and managing save files. Sure, DoD chapters are short in general but it would make like at least 4-5 chapters alone still...
I think its a issue for all consumers (managing chapters, saves on consumer part) but I respect the developer choice to do so for paying consumers, which I would assume voted for smaller sized files. Its just seemed bizzare and unnecessary to me as there are more easy and obvious paths to split the DL load. You guys clarified much to me, well I will keep an open mind and when I finish game I recently started, give first chapter a try

thanks . but i cant found download link for 0.23 version. that one on the very first page, is the whole chapter ... :-(
let me ask my question again : is there a PATCH file (with of course has smaller size) to download and extract on my 22.5 to change the version to 23 ? for half version i don't want to download whole chapter 3

As I stated before, packing it in RAR and spliting it to parts is so much easier solution in my view. Everybody in the universe have RAR - some good souls even bought rar licence
For example Lancaster Boarding House have 6GB, yet splitted to four 1,5GB parts for easier DL. Lucky Mark have like 18GB (so much uncompressed Unity assets
) so it literally has to be splitted.
