DMD v.27 - Final preview pics and news about Chapter 3!

Hello to my loyal followers from all over the world.

Today we are sharing with you the last of our preview pics before DMD v.27 is released next weekend.

Back by much popular demand, the dynamic duo, Elena and Jennifer, return in this next update!

What kind of mischief do you think that they will get up to this time around?

We also wanted to let you all know some important news.

V27 will be the second last update for Chapter 3, with the final part to be released sometime in September. Then we will start working on Chapter 4 in early-2021.

However, we will be using the month of November to do a revision of both Chapter 2 and Chapter 3. What we will be looking to work on and include in that release are things such as:

- fixing plotholes
- fixing grammar errors (that you guys have listed for us for the past couple of years!)
- fixing bugs in the game
- adding in extra scenes
- extending some scenes
- adding in more animations
- adding in a bonus gallery (like we did for Chapter 1)
- anything else we can think of!

We might take an extra month early next year to do another revision if we can't do all of the things above in just one month.

You will also find in next weekend’s release that some paths or scenes are incomplete (these specific paths will be mentioned in the Walkthrough).
The reason for this is because time hasn’t allowed us to include these extra scenes, unfortunately, but they will indeed be added in during the revision month in November. So this update that is due next weekend will be well worth replaying again, once these extra scenes have been included.

We didn’t want to delay the release of v27 as to not throw our schedule (between now and the end of the year) completely out of whack!

v28 is looking like it will be one of our biggest releases yet, so we’re really going to have to put in a lot of hard work again during the five or six weeks that we’ll have to complete it in August/September.

We have more details about all of this in the game day post next weekend.

Sort of sad that some of the routes in this update won't be completed until November, that's a long way away.

They've had some issues since they ended Melody and started SL. 2 delays for SL and now DMD is getting technically incomplete updates, hopefully they can get their rhythm back.

The slowup is the change from Genesis 3 to Genesis 8 models and the extra time it takes to render. DMD is not affected directly, but is influenced by the time it takes on SL.

I don't mind. It's been too many weeks since any game I enjoy had a new release, besides Treasure of Nadia.

On an unrelated note, I wonder what gear MrDots is using. I did a test render with DAZ once, and it was like 30mn + for a simple scene with one random woman and a background with a GTX 1070. I hope he bought like 2 NVidia Titan RTX 24GB to speed up the process. There's even better cards for 3D render going up to $7500. Not sure he wants to buy those but considering his earnings I guess he can afford 2x Titan RTX.

Not gonna lie, I'm not too hyped about playing an unfinished update (especially if you'd have to replay it) and waiting for November, so there's a big chance I'll drop it, unfortunately. The story was just getting interesting. All the bug-fixing should've happened as soon as they were reported IMO, instead of stockpiling them for later. I wouldn't even mind a slightly extended development cycle if it meant playing a polished game.

Kinda burned out on this one as its kinda ended up all over the place IMO. Think ill wait for the end of the chapter complete with the bigfix/extended scenes patch before I dive in and then maybe ill have clearer idea of where the game is going and maybe get more hyped again for chapter 4 next year.

In meantime though I fully embrace a patch that does just involve extended what is already there or polishing old content. I get it doesn't add much for those who are already waiting on the main draw of an update (continuation of the plot) but its good hes being transparent about wanting to go back and add animations and address plot holes before starting the next chapter. Who knows Chapter 4 might not end up being the final one and it will continue on so these are gonna need to be things done at some point and prior to starting a new chapter seems a pretty good point to go back and rework and tweak some stuff.

Also could be an excuse for me to check out that other new game of his, have not touched it yet but then reasons being is he can often be slow in getting to the meat and bones in his story so ive barely followed up on it but it can fill the wait between this game and still enjoying his work meantime.

I think, of all the possible turn offs, this news is the worst. Doing uncompleted updates is a really bad decision.... It's better to take 3 or 4 months but complete the update and storyline.

Everyone is making a huge deal out of this but it might not be nearly as bad as it seems and theres been a hundred games ive played where the update is 'half complete' without really feeling like so. The game is literally built on years of incomplete updates as were nowhere near finished the game yet it seems. You want something in particular? Chances are you gotta wait as now and then other things take priority - I feel for Jennifer fans, now THEY must feel every update is incomplete haha
