Hopefully when the story wraps up, the developer can go back and try to clean up the game so that it better understands the decisions that you have made. For example, I went back through with .12 update to go full Daughter (rejecting everyone outright as soon as possible), but internal dialogue from Elena and Father still reference their relationship and causes some weird dialogue choices as characters are navigating choices which I did not make in my play-through.

I also hope he will go back and rewrite some of the internal dialogue for the Father as it has become increasingly poor as the game goes on. He goes from being suave, manipulative and smart, to just a drooling teenager once his Daughter and him form a relationship contract at the end of Day 10. I am beginning to not enjoy playing the game because of his internal thoughts.

He's become really self-fish, and self-centered. He's a really accurate portrayal of a lot of us. He's become less of a character, and more of an avatar. I don't personally mind it, because... well... that is how I feel. I'm becoming impatient. I don't really care what D wants. I know what I want... I want her, and anybody else I can get my hands on. Which from a MC perspective is as accurate to the player as you could get. But from a story-telling point of view, it really hurts the story.

I just wish MrDots could describe what we're feeling a little better... a simple screen shake, and a bunch of !!!!!!! followed by "wow! she's massaging my dick! I can't believe it! What is she doing!" doesn't quite cut it.

And that, to me, has become the issue as the player has less control over what the Father thinks and does. The interesting thing about playing these kind of games is the perceived illusion of choice or seeing the consequences of your actions.

So it is becoming extremely disappointing that the game has gone from giving you multiple choices (ex you choose between message breasts, kiss or do nothing), to an action being unavoidable but you still needing an action press (ex you still initiate breast messages) to actions just happening without your consent. It just seems like after Night 10 the developer has been more interested in telling a specific story then trying to make a game, and it is not for the better.

I just this week finally took on my 2nd game, Dreams of Desire. I invite anyone who has yet to do so to go thru that thread and compare it to DMD. Not a pretty picture for DMD. I still prefer DMD because I'm that loyal to D.

I love dreams of desire. Definitely Top 5 games right now. But for as much shit we give MrDots for his pacing... I do feel that Dating my Daughter has the upper hand in that regard. Dreams of Desire (especially in the latest update) has been off to the races, and the sexual flood gates are starting to open. Now... not every game needs a long winded set up, but it can add so much more. If MrDots picked up the pace just a tad between F and D; the game would be nigh perfect.

To a certain extent I do not think that MrDots needs to increase the speed of which the Father and Daughter engage in actual sex, but rather, make the secondary relationships actually be something that the player controls. For example, Jennifer, Elena and Georgiana are all possible contacts in the Father's phone (depending on how you played), and Elena Georgiana have tried to make side dates on their own. So you could always open up possibilities to set up side dates, as the player, to fill in the sexual gaps that the Daughter is not yet fulfilling.

The thing is, the Father still lusts after other women. The night after pledging himself to his daughter, he can still have sex with Georgiana, and he can't help but drool over Margo at the boxing match. The writing does not really lend itself well to convince the player that they should only be looking after their Daughter as the end experience (title of the game not-withstanding.

As for showing patience wit his Daughter, it is understandable because many of the reasons why he loves her, is because she is so reserved/naive. Like when she stops giving him a handjob on Night 12, the Father coarsens her to continue by calling it masturbation, rather than "sex", since it is something that he could and would normally do himself. So he may have been willing to bang Georgiana without a condom (he probably would have with Elena if she did not stop their encounter in the coffee shop's bathroom) because of lust, he is looking at his Daughter as a source of love. The two are different for most men, which is why the first thing you will hear out of a male's mouth if they found out their best friend was having an affair is, "But was she hot?" We are willing to forgive infidelity as long as the side-action is better than the main action.

You have to keep in mind that MrDots has several writers now, this can lead to inconsistencies in the writing style between scenes, even if he supervises the entire thing.

With so many that love to whine about the writing, the blue balling of this game, while not looking at the patreon listing of what the game is supposed to do, and then making their thoughts about the way the dev(s) are I'm sorry but i'm tired of this. Yeah i believe he wants to change the programmer function to doctor. I think that next update will wrap up some side stories then there will be two updates more focused on the MC job then the probably close chapter 1 and move forward to chapter 2.
