I can not completely agree with you. Seems like I need less realism in these games than you do.

However it would not fit the (current) narrative if they start to be open about their feelings and sexual encounters. Graham and Olivia were also secretive to a certain extent.

Incest stories function by either greatly reducing or eliminating entirely social/legal consequences. For a player, this requires a "what if it were possible to..." leap of imagination.

Incest stories are popular because it's taboo.

By removing the social and legal consequences you remove that taboo and then it's just another sex story.

The father and daughter thing in this game is working because it's a taboo, it's not something to be shared.
