You do have to remember that not everyone playing is here for the daughter, they just came for something to do and ended up sticking around for one character or another. They don't mind if the daughter sleeps around, in would probably make it easier to get the dev to put in paths for other women for a relationship.

In all honesty though, how do you see this ending, with the father and daughter in a happy ever after loving relationship?

I will still stick around to see what happens with the rest of the story but if there wont be any more updates to what happens to the daughter after this cliffhanger in the next few updates I would for sure not stay subscribed to your patreon.(i can't afford to subscribe anyway but if I was is my point) The game has the name it has for a reason.
Only character I dislike of the other ones we've met is the Fathers secretary. She is not a good character.(personal opinion)
The rest are fine. In my opinion furthering the main plot slowly would be perfectly fine while you focus on the side arcs more in the next few updates but people are not gonna be happy if there is a cliffhanger and it doesn't get paid off quickly. There is a reason cliffhangers work they make people stick around but it doesn't get paid off in the next episode people quickly lose faith and leave.

I really hope this isnt the case you guys have a great this going and it would be sad to ruin it.

Edit obviously hate the mother too but that is the point of her character I assume and that's fine.

counting the amount of render and dialogue screens, how, was this short? I think if you count those up, it was in the upper 1/2 to 1/4 of releases in size.

All those choices lead to bad endings and nothing good for daughter and locks you out of her content. When I see the game titled Dating my Daughter I expect to have daughter content focused the most. Not getting sex from other random ppl. That's why I don't do those choices b/c if you do you ruin your relationship with the daughter.

It is exactly what I expect.

Incest, even if legal where they lived, is still a social taboo and the daughter is a hell of a lot younger than the father.

They could never let anyone know what is going on so if it did turn into a full on relationship they would have to cut all ties with everyone they know and leave the town.

Then you've got a girl that's just woken up to her sexuality and with a far older man ... sooner or later she's going to want someone younger.

In games there is some degree of suspension of disbelief but no matter how you twist it, incest is still a social taboo and a girl that young is going to want more out of life eventually.

It just seems incredibly far fetched to imagine that kind of happy ending. It would need a hell of a lot mental gymnastics to make an ending like that seem even remotely plausible.

I wrote most of d13 ending scene with daughter's first orgasm , and in the initial version I had also included a tit-job in the shower to "set the tone" for the following climax (in every sense wink wink). Other writers deemed that such a "fetish" deserved better preparation though. Obviously the vain pseudo-artist inside me was a bit disappointed (I also came up with a fun scene where you finally got to use the almost forgotten bath soaps you won at the Cupid night - that is, if you won them), but I am confident the other devs will include great tit-jobs in the story soon anyway. ^__-

That aside, sometimes I find it hard to understand what is considered "fappable" for a man. I fap to porn games and videos and images, sure, but other times all it takes is reading erotic stories, tumblr captions, adult comics, personal blogs, comments to hard-core videos, it all depends on the context, sometimes even material not intended as erotic can get suddenly exciting because something in it "resonates" with you. As for DMD, personally just considering how much twisted and taboo the whole situation between F and D is is enough to give me a boner. That is, I don't even need actual images/scripts - I give in to a sort of conceptual turn on. Given that "don't add more career choices" wasn't an option, I would think postpone hints at patreons not caring for multiple paths and just want the story. If in his vision he intended to have it all along, no matter what, then he simply needed to slowly work on it in the background doing bits of it each month until it's ready and then add it all in. Had he done it in this manner, surely, he would be done by now.

i love this game so much,best and favourite update so far

Good Best thing I heard about this update. I thought that self defense classes didn't lead to anything. Looks like I was wrong about some of the branch offs not yet used. Well that's a semi-good sign. But sad that the game is focusing on side content that really isn't needed.

So this is an official Statement then that this update is last one for Chapter 1? If so horrible ending to say the least. Not good idea at all.

Chapter 2 will bring MANY novelties (but d and f will remain the central focus obviously). Some of these novelties might be hard to get used to (even though some will "last" only a couple of updates), but they were necessities plot-wise, so I give mrdots the guts to stay honest to his vision. We'll see hot it goes, but be it as it may, this is NOT a last-minute change to milk patrons since DMD is having so much success.

Strongly disagree and how exactly is he going about to making sure Dad gets to daughter? Some magical carpet trick? Find hard to believe to do this and still have strong focus on Daughter and father if the daughter is in a new country. Are you saying somehow the dad manages to pull some miracle out of the blue?

As for the new job routes, a general revision of the previous episodes was badly needed, doing this at the end of chapter 1 just seemed to make sense, so to be able to publish a "finished official version" of chapter 1 as a somewhat stand-alone feature. Adding some additional content to the previous days is a good plus (we planned to do it much time earlier, but patrons voted in a poll to postpone this till the end of chapter 1's storyline).

So what you are saying is you ended the main focus of the game to go back and "Fix" things in the Chapter and then add a mechanic that isn't even remotely useful in any way possible? The whole job thing doesn't fit in unless you started implementing that from the start which you obviously failed. So now you changed the focus from doing main game mechanics to something that is not needed at all? I am perfectly fine without a job mechanic and I am sure most patreon's would agree too. Especially if it means you ended progress to the main plot.

Also this statement here you put kinda goes against the statement previously stated further up in quote. So you say you are working on touching up Chapter 1 but somehow you are doing Chapter 2 content? I seeing some major holes in this method of game development.
