Reason why LOP were able to gather funds was that they are small as hell so they're released consistently. They are more or less on par with 1-2 months of releases. Bigger games can't do that. And even bigger games can't use monthly Patreon releases. Games are always dependant on a release model.
As for CCBill it's not really alternative for now. Paypal has no alterative as it's a common, safe site with milions of users. People hate to create another accounts not to say to give their cards data when they have one already. Paypal is without alternatives just like Google is. You can use other sites but who would do so? To attract funds you have to find a way into a mainstream audience and mainstream audience won't use different payment methods just for porn

I think they should take Darkcookie as an example with Summertime Saga.
The game develops it and places it on its own site. donations receive them on Patreon where he has only the front page.
Or, the various creators, should create a personal site, or a common site, such as a site LoP .... 1 site with many creators (games)

My guess is that as long as MrDots is under direct scrutiny, we will not get any new relevant information where the patreon inquisition can see it.
Basically posting on the patreon site a way to reverse the enforced changes has not been the best move.

This said, I sincerely hope for some new information in, say, a month or two, when the situation, hopefully, would have calmed down somewhat.

The game is great, and I still hope that it will not die over this.
This said, it does not look too good, all things considered.

Yeah, Paypal is a main asset of Patreon.

Only biggest brands can use paypal. Paypal forbids porn and he would lose his acount with all funds for TOS violation. That's why Patreon is special
Well, there is Segpay, for example. I´m sure there are alternatives.

There are alternatives, none as easy and broadly available.
Most people active in internet have a paypal account nowadays.
Far fewer even know of existing alternatives, let alone have an account.

It's a shame that this game may be ending I hope Mr Dots can save it & still get donations to keep it alive. I think that all the game developers on patreon should band together and get a lawyer to challenge patreon in court.

Should he find a way to have his patrons move to another site. It will be a big backfire on Patreon's part because they would lose their cut and him having over 4k patrons would be a pretty big cash cow.
Funny that they will let devs that turn nothing in for months on end keep collecting. I guess fraud is ok as long as they get their end of it.
MrDots has been consistent and on time, but keeping the patrons happy doesn't figure in Patreon's way of working.

i've sent PM to mrdots and now wait to see what he'll answer,in the case he gives more informations i'll post it here
but reading his post again more carefully i become even more miserable, the way he explained the situation does not give any signs for optimism..the mentions of new project and "moving forward" to me sounds like an excuse for abandonment of dmd...one thins is sure, there won't be dmd updates in incoming monhts,i hope so much that i'm wrong

I'm sorry Mr Dots but I would imagine the vast majority of your supporters were only there for one thing and that was DMD. There may be a small percentage that will stick around due to how much they liked DMD and recognising that you would be able to put that quality into your next product but I doubt it would be a large percentage. Truly is a sad day and I now feel the need to shoot some peeps on Battlefield to release some frustration :(
I think you are right. Most people are for DmD.BTW same go for DS.If he think when he replace BB with Glamour that his patrons will stay and support him,he is in huge mistake.I bet at least 30% will leave, won't be surprise if will be even more than 50%.

Well you're right, but I think that crypto currencies are already good enought, maybe just not use bitcoin. If you by the right amount a crypto before paying you don't pay much more.

He can also go on makersupport.
They guidline says

And I think it worth to try...
Hmmm...
Makersupport does seem promising...

There is for example "Erotic Illusions". Is mostly for porn comics, but I don´t know why it would not host porn games too if they make as much money as DMD. It uses segpay for monthly payment and customers just need a credit card.

"I’m terribly sorry but I won’t be able to release v.17 this Saturday"
Why not? What stop him to email the download link to the bakers or graciously give it on his tweeter account or something? Didn't they pay for this? And What about Hatreon?

You had to know that now is the time of the "social justice warriors" given the "me too" movement where you can hurl accusations at anyone from your past in true character assassination form without any burden of proof, paramount to the Salem Witch Trials... I just hope that Mr. D. will at least give us a "happy ending" before he embarks on his new watered down, remove my money from his pocket, Patreon endeavor... (SMH)

Still, don't understand why these guys, especially the "big dogs" just don't tell Patreon to fuck off and do it themselves? What you are a programmer and can't figure out how to build a website and take recurring paypal payments??? I may not be a dev but I am self-employed and if you are willing to pay me, I can take any form of payment that you can offer... Are you that hard up, or stupid, that you can't???
This, so much.

Why on Earth not just go independent? Everyone subscribing to such a game on Patreon is already probably internet-savvy enough to realise they can subscribe via his personal site without necessarily risking anything more. Hell I'd probably be even more inclined to support if they had their own site. As of now I'm not giving Patreon a dollar. They could even change monetisation format, like go with how DDLC does it or something.

I imagine because it is not done.
He said that he was, understandably, not able to work on it since monday, even if he tried.

btw ... never thought about this ... why not collecting the money from funders directly, whithout using a additional service provider?

I don't know how people in US pay their bills, but here (Germany) most regular bills are paid with automatic bill payment (not sure if this is the correct word for "Dauerauftrag" ^^ ).

Transfering money from here to a US bank account costs about 1,50€ (little less than 2$). Seems to be ok.
Probably transfering money from US to US is for free, isn't it?

I my mind it would be the other way around - the new project will get minimal attention (just enough to show there's - minimal - progress ), for its role as a straw man ;)
I think you get the right solution. He actualy don't need to make a new game.He can post montly pictures of his new comic no-text version.Like MatM did.Meanwhile Mr.Dots can continue working on DmD,get payment through patreon and release the game on his site.

They tied his hands too? Seems to me his obligation are less toward patrean than they are toward his backers. What do you think?

Yeah, I think they would be fine with something like this.
I'm a great fan of artdude41 (who moves to another places this week ... so no Carey-updates this week, too :'( ).
At least incest seems not to be a problem.

But they use credit cards for payment. So ...
