Well when, choose to load from chapter 1 save & if it is unable to find your save you get the opportunity to just manually input your choices from chapter one and start up in chapter 2, so just do that if you can't get it to work?

First of all, dl 14.5 instead of 14. There is a save compatiblity issue.
You have to make fresh saves throughout 14.5.
Then, make sure you dl 16.5. Almost 100% that EVERYTHING has been re-configured in such a way that the ONLY smooth game play will be 14.5-->16.5-->17.
I doubt the photo studio membership is a big deal. But just to play it safe,you can scroll down to the bottom of this page and click on the thread "Chapter 2 Daughter Only game for Extra Money".

You HAVE to start over to make all your saves compatible. When I played 14.5, my old saves from DMD 14 worked up to about Day 5 only. Just check each one until they stop working. Then delete the later ones.

At the start of Chapter 2, there is an option for you to name yourself and daughter and set the requisites of the previous chapter, which is easier than playing all of Chapter one again

I already did i just wanted to do the command edit to give my self the money for the membership.

And no accident, either. Purposely set up this way by dev-team to keep DMD players "hungry" and always wanting more. This strategy has been in play for the last 4 updates EACH time...

I will wait to see if I can play 0.17 using saves from 0.16 or if can't restarting ch.2 using ch.1

Yes, and no.
This game is configured in such a way to make short-cut things (such as saves) MUCH harder, not easier.
If someone has played Chapter 1 (for instance D-only) and has a good idea, either by themself or cribbed, about how to fill out the questionnaire, THEN maybe for now you'd get away with jumping to Chapter 2. That gives you 1 path.
Short-cuts either don't work or don't work for long. PERIOD!!

I did it as my saves didn't work on 16, so i made a Daughter only save as it was easy, I know what you need for the good daughter only. In the actual game I was a dog and if it moved I slept with it.

No difference. It is not censored, so you don't need the patch to restore the incest content.
