A couple of years ago, there were not developers of decent erotic games non hentai. Right now, thanks to Patreon, there are a few of them (maybe 5 or 10) and some people are supporting; so, they are even making decent money and making a way of life from that. Even hiring people, as a real company. It´s a new market niche. So, more and more people with real skills in the developmente of games and good ideas is going to make erotic games in patreon in al almost professional way. There will be real competence. Supporting a developer will soon not be something almost altruistic. People is going to demand quantity and quality for the money, not 15 minutes of real gameplay per month and the satisfaction of supporting a semi-amateur developer. IMO, of course.

I think you are missing the semantic difference between "patron/supporter" and "buyer/customer".
