okaaay something doesnt add up. The last time I played chapter one, it ended with daughter being kidnapped by exwife.

Did I miss something? I dont remember a ring or a fair in chapter one.

yes you did miss something (quite a much) so happy replaying unless you have old enough chapter 1 save to continue.

actually, my hard disk crashed. I still dont know if it was because I had it in a custom cage or because of windows 10, but the end result is the same. a lot of stuff inaccessible.

It's been the 3rd disk in 10 years :noexpression:


And I really hate the cringe that is the early chapter1.

The earliest I have available is version 15. Would this be okay with you?

Though if you have the latest version (0.18), that would work if you started from the beginning. .15 was the start of chapter 2.

You can play DoD and MSN this week.
If I count every update I probably have played ch.1 30+ times and ch.2 10+ times.The only other game I have played that many times is DoD.

DMD has a more loyal fans base, and a better story. It seems DMD was the game Mr.Dots wanted to create (thus his emotional allegiance to our darling D) and Melody was the game he had to create (cash is king).
The question is will pressure from the more lucrative Melody fan base who is demanding more regular updates or else they bail (fair weather prevs) force Mr.Dots to can DMD in favor of the game that pays the bills? This is one of the fears common to most DMD fans. Every DMD update kinda seems like visiting the terminally ill, in that you wonder if this will be the last time you interact.

Step 1 : make sure the 0.18 cliff hanger, unlike the 0.17 cliff hanger which was "disappeared" May 3 (first appeared February 14), remains wholly or mainly in place. By the previous example, that will be the first week of August.
Step 2 : I still think the main path, D-only, is the key. True, there is wiggle space here between D accepting or rejecting Elena.
What strikes me as plausible is Rachel cheating on Brad. Brad has tricked her into believing he is leaving town. He discovers her in the act. He now gets to divorce her on very favorable terms for himself. Exactly, who would be Rachel's lover? Yeah, I'm leaning towards either Nathan or Adam. I actually prefer Adam because, on the D-only path, Elena could "squeeze" the info out of him. For this to happen, Elena would agree to silence about what she knows about F/D but say "you guys sure do owe me one!".
But get D popped, preferably both doors, BEFORE this please.

If you have "finished" DMD that would mean you've viewed whatever scenes you've chosen through 0.18.
There have been 18 updates so far : 14 in Chapter 1, as well as 4 in Chapter 2. Each update is a story continuation of previous updates.
DMD is NOT finished. The next update is set for late August. We usually hear about progress reports several times in between updates. So, returning to this thread periodically will get you current.

That's understandable considering Lucas is an asshole. His brother, Richard, is a strange one, for sure. Hard to pin him down exactly, but I kind of see him eventually becoming more like Lucas in a way.. if their story progresses that is. I get the feeling we probably haven't seen the last of either of them.
