From 0.03 to 0.16 (first two updates were like mini-demos), the average time between updates was 30+ days, with the longest 37 days.
MrDots' studio is now ALSO working on a fully operational Patreon project, Melody. So the time between DMD 0.17 and 0.18 should actually be counted as the time between Melody 0.02 and DMD 0.18, which was just 28 days. So the studio actually had a below-average time frame to prepare 0.18.
I have been, easily, DMD's most vocal and persistent critic in this thread. But I hope I will ALWAYS give credit where and when credit is due. Under the difficult circumstances the studio was put in due to the Patreon ban, DMD 0.18 was an acceptable update. Several previous updates were somewhat similar in that the content seemed less-than-usual but the quality of 0.18 renders was actually improved over previous updates. If 0.19 follows a similar pattern, that would be acceptable AND enjoyable.
