This game is pretty hot, but holy shit there is so much I dialog I don't care about. Like it'll take 5 textboxes for the MC to make a decision and then afterwards 5 more to analysis the decision.

Just get a fresh copy of the game. Your saves are stored in another place on your computer. Or, simply copy your save folder if you are worried.

then you have a bugged save file. this variable was declared at the very beginning of CH2 and never deleted.
try to change its value in CH2 before the last scene in v0.21.5 (relationship screen, select/deselect rejecting Jennifer) and create a new save file at the end.

Ya that solved it.
There is another issue, whenever 1st slot is used to save game of each page for ex. 1-1 or 2-1 etc. the gameplay become sluggish/laggy, only happening if 1st slots are used.

i made some modifications to the save/load screen itself but i doubt this has an effect on your problem.
moreover i see no way that the presence of a specific save slot would have any impact on the overall game performance.
