The reason loads of people are electing for the daughter not to take self-defence classes is probably because it's mentioned in passing a couple times, and the choice to do so seems like an optional choice. Which it is, had it not been for the fact that it leads to defeat an hour later. It's a bad design on the part of the game's creator. It's so bad they think that can't possibly be the way to solve the issue. After all, that choice was made out to seem completely voluntary.
To make matters worse, the concept of daughter being this naive, dependent and good looking girl is more or less contradicted by self-defence classes, which is about being an independent badass. So, for a lot of people who find the premise of the game hot, they will want precisely not to make the choice of taking those classes.
That is why you have loads of people running into this problem.

I mean it's in the walkthrough which is always included when it gets here. it specifically tells you to take the self defense class and why.
I use the walkthrough on my first play through just to get the good D only path done first then play through it again later doing the bad decisions.
it's not a bad design- it's a game and sometimes the choices you make will be shitty for you later. that's why saves were created.
Can't we just teach her to ask who's at the fucking door? I swear she pissed me off so much, completely turning on me bc her incompetence. Wish you could choose your main focus and just deal with the consequences versus a game over, I'd just run away with Elena.Go to police and tell them. Then take up their offer for Self Defense. Otherwise the daughter doesn't know how to kick lucas in the balls. There is an entire segment of funny scenes of Daughter learning self defense.

Good advice ... but I only use notebooks at home ... and with my old Acer the fan is the last thing to get at when dismantling (saw a russian video tutorial ... OMFG). And I'm quite sure it's a problem with the thermal gel (nothing I could fix).

Very true. I'm just sad and betrayed lmao, I just got to this point and my earliest remaining save is the casino. I usually tend to undersave bc I like having to live with my decisions. Need more games like Good Girl Gone Bad
