Hey guys!

I’m creating this post so that everyone can join in the discussion. I know I have many fans from other sites like f95zone, and I know there are people who can’t financially support me so I’d like to read everyone’s thoughts here.

As I said in my Patreon post, we will try to continue developing DMD on dmdgame.com. v.17 is going to be released in Mid-February to those who pledged during January. I’ve got your email addresses so I can add them to an email autoresponder.

Patreon has practically forced us to create another game in order to keep the page alive, so we can’t offer DMD there anymore. It was either that or seeing our account getting banned.

It’s not what we wanted, so we’ll see how that goes. But our main project will always be DMD.

The project won’t be canceled but we will work at a slower rate than when we’re on Patreon, mainly because we have to look for another payment alternative and we’ll also have to focus on the new game as well. But don’t worry, DMD will be finished no matter what!

We are looking at some potential solutions but for now, we are not entirely convinced. As much as I hate Patreon, they are the best and we might have to wait for a long while until we see some serious competition.

I’ll be reuploading Dating My Daughter: Chapter 1 and Ch.2 v.16 (Without censorship!) to site like Payhip, Gumroad, etc. tomorrow. I don’t know how long they will last, but at least those who didn’t like the censored game will be able to get the original one and also help us financially.

We knew this day would come eventually, and to be honest, I’m kinda glad that DMD is out of there. Patreon was killing my creativity, with all the censorship, the patches, and I’m not sure if my patience would have lasted much longer.

DMD will become Dating My Daughter again, and I’m really excited about that

I was wondering which kind of restore process he used right now, I remember the doughnut renaming and just deleting a file, which is of course not really as anonymous as a patch appearing.

Also gotta love this sentence "They gave me the chance to continue this game on a different site, as long as it’s not related to Patreon in any way." my my, how generous that sounds, they did not send their Hitmans to eradicate his presence, although going by how consistent and professionell they act in general, they would probably only shoot their own people.

One thing to remember is right now, that pretty much everyones annoyed at how they act. Never underestimate annoyed people, dont just comply to everything, dont go fullstop. Other developers use the site as a Strawman for long before this purge started. And people like if you fight back, and some even go the more inconvenient way of sending you money if you for example dont make it a monthly subscription. People remember times where you would pay for a finished product?

Well this is fantastic news. Hopefully they will get the support they need to get back on track soon. As I mentioned moments ago, I pulled any support I was giving through patreon. As soon as Mr. Dots has a stable place for support, I'm in. Hopefully DarkSilver will also be able to find an alternative to patreon. With some freed up funds these are the people I will be supporting.

Well, there will probably be a second game, even if it probably will be developing at a slow pace.

Monthly updates are grand, but I would gladly accept bimonthly DMD updates over the game just vanishing entirely.

Any paypal business member can set recurring payments to happen monthly with a 2.75% cost rather than Patreons 5%+ costs with further costs to patrons. I'd bet Patreon will be monitoring his DMs. They've already said that distributing forbidden content in this way won't be allowed. It would have to be through something like Telegram.

Well according the list linked Mr.Dots is ~300 patrons bellow the top50. Which is about 7%. So while not a top dog, he's definitely not a pup. I would guess this is why they gave him the option how to keep his account and suggested a way to circumvent their restrictions. A smaller channel they would have deleted right away.

Also I wonder how much thin of a line they walk. I can imagine this coming from outside pressure, or inside fear of exploding into a hug PR bomb, that could kill the company in today's #metoo US.
