So you haven't even played the game but you know this is for the best? If you played the game you'd know it's completely optional. So it being there or not would be dependent on you.

Optional content has always been a blight in these games. As everyone has previously said, the game is called Dating my Daughter, not Sharing my Daughter. I applaud these kind of decisions because of that, although I do admit changing something that was announced has no justification, you have to understand that back in the day devs announced all this content to see if it sticks.

It's obvious that a lot of things since this game was announced changed, so it's very evident people that actually support the game don't like this kind of content.

I have been a long time supporter of this game and have to say this latest update is disappointing. My main playthrough of the game is a pure D route but I like Martin and was hoping for some decent scenes with him after all the build up and teasing.

For that route to end in a MMF scene really makes Martins writing seem pointless as when he discovered D&F together earlier in chapter 3 he was disgusted and left. Now we expect him to fuck D with F and have no problem with it? really not very believable honestly and very disappointing for a fan of that route.

Chapter 3 has been a big waste of time even for the D only path just bland filler story followed by a sex scene with D in various positions how will Chapter 4 offer anything different now?

Mrdots must be completely fed up with this game and all the drama it creates for both sides of the sharing coin and just wants to end it.

I always praised the writing in this game as it was always good how the writers teased and catered for different tastes but knowing it all leads to nothing just reminds me of the game of thrones horse drawing meme.

Which is fine if he said it was going to happen and it nothing ever occurred. The thing is that it was planned then it was implemented in this chapter and in the end it's hastily done and gotten rid of.

Edit: oh yeah if optional content is a blight on this type of game then this game would be pretty bad in your eyes because a large portion of it is optional content.

I can understand why alot of people are mad or disappointed, i am not a fan off MMF or NTR stuff in games i always either avoid it or don't play the game if you cannot avoid it. People been waiting since chapter 1 for the content they want, and now we are semi-close to the ending of the game and those people think ''we must be close to some MMF or NTR stuff or whatever fetish'' and it suddenly is being cut from the game.. that would piss me off aswell.

Also i think lots of people don't care that there is NTR or MMF like fetishes in the game they like if they can avoid it, but i think lots of people who don't like it think that it wastes precious developer time, that they could've put more time on a more vanilla type of scene or art or whatever they like more, so they maybe see it as a waste.

Sorry, but it sounds like you really should play the game because this doesn't change the paradigm of the game. This is a porn game that follows the sexual lives of a father and daughter. Having another male during sex doesn't change the core essence of the game, because there's FFM scenes as well. If people were asking for the game to suddenly become an open world RPG then yes I'd agree that'd change what the game is.

I was about to say the same thing the man (team or whatever) literally completed a whole other game then is a few updates in into another game but having optional content in one game is eating up precious dev time.? Let's just be honest most of the people glad that this content is getting cut short is because they don't like the idea of there being any scenes (optional or not) of their waifu with another guy. Indeed, that's how it is. And I'm glad that's the case. The majority of people that actually support it either don't like it or don't care, so allocating extra effort in it seems like it makes no sense no matter how much people who don't support it can get mad about it.

Lol then it's already sharing my daughter because you've already shared her. This argument is bad a game doesn't have to follow the confines of it's title. Imagine if you couldn't shoot guns, kill people, fly helicopters or other things in the future grand theft auto 6 because we need to keep things only to the crime of grand theft auto

Which again like I sort of said before I think that's fine. If the dev wants to follow what a large portion of his supporters want I understand that but make it clear from the start that's what you're going to do. Don't start implementing it during multiple updates and then cut it short last minute.

Ultimately, the decision to do this years into the project at the end is very messed up and shows a lack of conviction and integrity. If you're going to do a pure game, start that way. Don't turn a project you've already promised content on into that. Do that starting with the next game and make it clear from the start.

For the people saying the title "Dating my Daughter" means only you are dating her, that's wrong. That title can be interpreted in different ways. If the protagonist was a pimp and whoring his daughter out, the title would still make sense because someone is "Dating my Daughter". If the daughter brought a boyfriend home and the game was still from the dad's pov the title "Dating my Daughter" would still be able to apply. Any number of situations applies as long as the focus has you playing as a dad that has a daughter dating someone. The original premise for the game was the dad corrupting the daughter and whoring her out. That's what the flower petals were all about. The game got hijacked and whatever. That just shows a lack of integrity. But again, if he wanted to do this, he should have waited until his next game or whatever the other game he is currently working on.

But he's flip flopped so many times I don't see how anyone can trust him at this point.
