also by walkthrough on ch 18 player has to have rejected 1 girl in ch 15 to be able to get most out with amanda so another girl dropped later, not nice at all.

I bet this was asked 100 times already but I could not find any solutions. I downloaded backup files for all chapters but when I start the 12th online chapter (I played previous cracked) there is no option for import. How do I import the backup into the online version now?

Saves for cracked Chapters doesnt work for online version . So you must take the back files you dowload for online version ( i think you download from Love-joint page , the link you can find in the Op ,
You must be registered to see the links
) and put all the saves in the right fold of your pc : vne2-folder under C:\Users\*user*\AppData\Local

did not work. I found the folder, put all the downloaded backups inside but chapter 12 still says that I haven't played chapter 11 and there is no option to pick a backup

Really sorry the saves you download don't work... But more i cannot help you , because i just arrived to 10 chapter released version .. i try to help you because when i begun to play this game close to 15 days ago , i started with cracked chapters , but after reading this thread i undestood about problems of incompatibility between Online and Cracked versions and i stopped my playing immediately ( i was arrived to Ch 2 ) and i restart from public release . I can only give you more my saves of Dfd Public version that you can find in the allegate but i just arrived to ch 10 like i wrote you before ; Maybe some other person here in the tread can help better than me .
One suggestion that i can give to the F95 Staff is maybe to cancel the possibility to download Cracked version , because actually it's just stopped to Ch11 and nobody i think will go on to crack further chapters.
i read all thread and half of the post are about asking difference between offline and online version and the other half asking about backup files when they finished Online Version of the game. This confusion will go on till when people will have possibility to play the cracked version..

You are talking about the offline version.
Offline version has no backups, separate save files are located at the path you mentioned and is incompatible with online versions (cracked versions are online versions, too).Are you sure that you are playing the online version? The online version opens in your BROWSER when you open this link:
You must be registered to see the links
Offline version starts from an exe file that you downloaded to your computer and extracted from a zip archive. It has no options to save or load backups and its save files are located in a folder named "%localappdata%\VNE2"
The online version of ch 12 most definitely has an option to upload a backup file, I just checked.
Are you sure that you opened it in a browser that supports WebGL, as Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome (and the Chromium browser also) do?
If you did and you still can not see a browse button to pick a file below the warning that you haven't played the previous version yet, then try to clear cookies and cache of your browser and try again.

The public official game exists both as an online and an offline version, you can download the offline version from the same page where you can start the online version from.
The paid Patreon version (that has voice acting included) only exists online (and there are some old cracked ones that you can play in your computer on a temporary local web server that is included to the game package).

Does anyone know how many chapters there will be in total? I'm enjoying this VN, but I only just found it and did all 16 free chapters over a couple of days. And waiting a month for every new chapter would really kill the flow, I'd rather just wait until it's finished.
also as far as the Amanda controversy, I gotta say I never found her that interesting to begin with (no offense to the writers). Kathy stole all of my attention from chapter 1. So I'm welcoming this time away from her, even if it does seem a bit rash on her part

Actually Palmer released for 10 $ Patrons Ch 17 and Ch 18 ; Ch 19 that will be the final one , should be release soon , Palmer wrote some days ago ( you can find a post here in the thread ) that with this Chapter 19 was not so happy with his first result and he need more time to make a better work ... But he wrote that it will be in every case in April

I'm glad someone actually reads the older pages to get all the information. I'm sure the regulars here appreciate you doing that.
Just to add to this, Palmer has said after chapter 19's finished that he should be putting all the chapters into one game and, if I'm not mistaken, this might be put on Steam but happy to be corrected here. In terms of when this'll happen, no time frame was given since he and the team have already started development on their next VN.
