I was very tempted to give only one star here. I didn't, because despite everything, it entertained me for a few hours until the story was over.
    Start with the good points.
The renders are well made, the models are great, there is even moaning during the scenes, which change as they progress.
The LIs, apart from the main one, are great. Personality, history, endings. They are the plus point of the game.

    Negatives... oh boy.
The base story begins well, but in the middle to the end it becomes meaningless. It ends in a way that could not be worse. No sense, a total mess.
There are so many annoying aspects. Several small moments of no importance that the player cannot skip. Walking on the streets, 30 seconds to simply sleep and wake up, thoughts texts that besides being poor, add nothing. A lot of mini games that are extremely easy, they just annoy. Anyway, a lot of boring things that only make you waste time.
The most annoying character ("friend" of MC) I've ever met in any game on this site.
The total destruction of the main LIs ("daughter"), where her story and actions are completely meaningless. She becomes someone else overnight. I assure you it's not a matter of "taste", they really completely lost track of what they were doing to her, and eventually destroyed her completely halfway through the end of the game.

Those looking for good scenes will not find animations. Anyone looking for a good game with incest will be disappointed with the character completely. Who seeks a good story, will tear the hair out, with such a lack of reason in the end.
Who seeks "choices that make a difference". The only difference is how many scenes you'll see, nothing changes in the story until chapter 15. Just the kind of ending you'll get, which is much better to use a cheat and then see them later.

Anyway, I found myself literally rolling my eyes several times during the entire game. I really don't recommend that you even start playing.

The most I can give this game is 3/5. The game manages to feel both very fast and dragged out at the same time.

The renders are perfect. The characters are unique, beautiful. The poses feel natural for the most part and it can create a pretty good atmosphere in the game. Great job there.

The story, however, is very under-developed. I understand the premise, that the MC works the whole day, and basically doesn't have free time as it is, but this just unnecessarily makes the progression feel dreadful. Most days you just work, talk to some character a couple of sentences, go to sleep, repeat. And then when something happens, it happens all at once, you can just barely wrap your head around it. Sometimes no follow-up for quite a while. And then it's back to mundane, empty days again.

The characters are what feels to be the biggest problem. There's absolutely no in-depth character development at all. At no point you get to explore why they feel what they feel or why they do what they do.

The biggest stifling factor for this is the MC. He's the embodiment of a lifeless character. From the dialogues you couldn't tell apart if you're talking to a person or a lamppost. He just ponders to himself so much, at some points it actually becomes infuriating that he says so little, or even nothing at all. So in the end you just pick the character that looks the nicest, because through all these chapters of content you manage to form no emotional bonds with any of the characters.

The dialogues for the most part are very short and platonic. There's no feelings involved in 95% of them. The girls keep pushing for it, but the MC is basically a calculator with legs, thinking about everything before saying anything ten times. And when he does finally feel something, apparently "looks like shit and needs to take a day off". No further development.

The endings are probably the best part, although most of them heavily contradict the characteristics set for MC throughout the game. Bust I guess it's pretty decent fan service.

    Some closing remarks:
    • Why are the transitions so goddamn long? Every third pose switch I have to wait like seven seconds in the middle of a dialogue/sex scene for no reason.
    • Do we really have no better conversation enders than "I need a shower"? It's literally 40% of the dialogue, just people talking about taking a shower.
    • The days just don't make sense. At one point MC talks to somebody in the morning, then comes back home and goes to bed. What?
    • Never in the game does MC express true feelings of love, or even affection, out loud.
    • Really glad the developer experimented with voice acting this game. Some characters didn't fit, but in general it was a nice touch.
This had great potential to be a great story, had a good premise and characters for it, that just failed to realize itself, even in such an extended amount of gameplay.

This is the gold standard for Ren'Py visual novels with an incest theme.

Multiple endings, different character arcs, less-than-obvious motivations, well-developed characters. atypical faces and expressions that somehow feel more 'real' than most 3e animations.

It's worth the Patreon premium. 10000%. As is their second title, Dual Homework.

However, you’ll want the patches below if you like the incest theme since Patreon feels porn is OK only if it meets their preferred genres.

This game has reminded me of what it feels like to be in love.

I'm usually not a fan of Visual Novels, preferring the more open, game-like structure of Life-Sims. DFD however, is the best adult game I've ever played, bar none.

(Note: The final chapter is not yet out, so I haven't played through the conclusion yet, but I have no reason to expect the quality to be different from the previous 18 chapters.)

The story is unique, exquisitely written, paced and structured. Throughout, I've felt amusement, arousal, genuine worry for the characters and, as mentioned in the beginning, actual affection. It has been a true joy to play through this game, and I await the conclusion with the ambivalent feeling of someone who wants to get to the ending of a good book, but knows that afterwards there will be no more story to follow.

I would be remiss to not mention the graphics as well. Whereas many other games focus purely on the character models, leaving the world feeling empty and fake, DFDs art style and detailing of the different sets is consistently convincing, the renders and post-processing absolutely sublime.

That does not mean that the characters have not been given the same attention to detail. Quite the opposite, actually. I have never come across another game with such a diverse cast, wherein everyone is uniquely gorgeous. That being said, there is something exceptional about the daughter character. Her expressions and poses feel so lovingly made, that I cannot help but imagine the creator of this game caring as deeply for her as I must admit to.

    Simply put; I'm in love.

I feel very complicated for reviewing this game. In some sense I wanna give it a 5 star without hesitation, but when I think of other aspects I wanna give it a 2 star.
Great music. Great rendering. Bad voice acting which you can just turn off.
Great writing. Seriously GREAT writing there. There is a clear gap of writing skills between games like DfD and games with amateur writings. Certain the next level writing here.
But the "writing" said above actually meant wording, or accurate and poetic presentation of a scene or a feeling. When it comes to storycraft, there's some problem here.
There are many comments complaining about the daughter suddenly acts out of character and becomes distant. In my opinion, this essentially is because the world depicted in this game is way too SMALL. Your friends besides moe? Your relatives? Amanda's friends? Your daughter's school? Kathy's friends? ......BLANK. Why doesn't Kathy have a boyfriend? How does Moe earn his money? How's your daughter's relationship with her teacher? In what kind of environment did your daughter grow up? ......BLANK.
This cafe seems totally SECLUDED from the outside world, from this planet, from other human beings. And characters built in this defective world are born to be defective. Incomplete. SIMPLE. And that's also why Saul, Lily, that aunt, all seem to have come out from nowhere. Because anywhere outside this cafe is nowhere. All I feel about this story is a couple pieces of tiny fragments try their best to pretend to be a mirror, while the healthy way of writing a story is having the entire mirror prepared and then start with a fragment of it.
As a result, Amanda HAS TO act out of character. Because the so-called character built has too little content to keep the story continue.
In my opinion, what Palmer needs to learn most is about how to picture a complete character in a complete world.

This game started out with a lot of promise, but it lost its fastball along the way. After playing through chapter 18, I've called it quits, as the cons have exceeded the pros for me.

    Pros:
Interesting characters (for the most part)
    Hot sex scenes

    Cons:
Poorly released as chapters instead of updates to the whole, leading to bloated game size overall (4.5GB through chapter 18) because assets aren't reused
Terrible transitions and waiting for next scene to load
Senseless "walking" from home to diner and back that increased said load times
Daughter gets less credible as the story goes on
Chapters often have minimal content and little in the way to choices

Really, it was the transitions and poor progression that got to me the most.

The first half of the game is great, but it would have been better to only have one app instead of one per chapter.
On the seconf half of the game, the title character (the daughter in case you're wondering if the dessert is a character) act absurdly out of character and become a despictable character :

TL;DR: It's corny. It's really fucking cliche. It's also really boring and extremely vanilla. Don't turn on the voice shit, the acting is cringe as shit.

The characters are essentially lifeless seeing as they're all tropes you can find on Lifetime. Actually, come to think about it, how many middle aged women are on the site playing this game? I mean jesus, add in a shopping spree and some poorly thought out feminist themes, you could find this on Lifetime After Dark.

The story is also stupid af. I mean by like episode 3 or 4, 2 random women in a bar you had a choice to, "fuck" in episode 2 suddenly need a new job and come work for you. As well as the ugly ass douchebag who was originally setup as a villain. Then it's all a bunch of feel good shit and it's soooooo fucking corny.

The only reason this isn't a 1 is because the art is fairly decent. I mean, unoriginal and unrealistic as all fucking hell, but still attractive. But the sexual situations are some of the most vanilla shit I've ever seen. Which would be fine if it weren't for the fact there's only like 1 per episode. And on top of that, you have to sit through so much terrible writing it's just not worth it by the time you get there.

Actually, I'm changing this to a 1. It used to be a 2 but no, it's a 1. There is nothing this game does that is good. Including the boring and unoriginal mini games. This shit right here is why I hate visual novels. They're made by terrible, unoriginal writers who couldn't make it- nah nvm, I'm not that mean.

The way in which this game is cut is abomination. Additionally those save files are horrible. Voice acting is terrible, there is not enough content with the girl in glasses. In general the game is very mediocre and it's over hyped through the roof.

This VN was interesting due to the story. After the conflict entered with the Aunt, the writing suddenly went south, with decisions and choices that made no sense or seemed forced just to try to make conflict. Kudos for trying to be original, but big minuses for the stupidity of the later chapters. Compared to other adult VN's this had very little sex, which was not a problem while the writing was good. In the end I became so dissatisfied that I couldn't finish it, because I didn't care how it ended. It is clear that the dev has talent in certain aspects of storytelling, but writing conflict is not a strength.

The art is really good. Overall the characters are well written and it works pretty well. Until that shit with the aunt (around ch 13 I think). Then The main girl becomes a stupid bitch and it's irritating to see the MC just forget her without even a little feeling of betrayal.
The other girls though, are all great and keep the game interesting.

This game has some very erotic scenes with some great-looking female characters and decent voice acting too. Plenty of episodes, plenty of content and a surprising amount of choices throughout the game too. Overall, another masterpiece from Palmer.

Game has many text. Few sex scenes. It would be ok if the game engine wouldn't be such a pain in the ass...
The engine is the most down rating criterion in my rating here. The story and the renders are ok. but the engine is very shit. you have to click all the time and you cant roll back, you can't enjoy the game with the engine if you are a person who sometimes skip some parts, or if you think ok ok wait i go for it you cant roll back... its a real pain in the ass. theres only 1 engine to use: renpy

It has its ups and downs but, after 4 chapters in, I just find myself mostly not interested in the story/characters with some slight annoyance. Character graphics are nice, animations (what there is) a bit less so. Voice acting is good, other sound effects... not so much. In then end, I don't feel this is a bad game, just an 'OK' game and I'll be moving on to other pastures for now.

The game is story heavy, looks like everyone love it so much but i don't and the worst part is i can't start the chapter i want because i have to endure them all.
Which brings me to the saves shenanigans which i didn't figure out yet in spite of the tutorials, that's the only game i've had such problems with, i didn't play them all but lots of them so i'd rate this one -5 if i could, worst engine i've ever tried.
You'll probably like it so don't mind my rantings and if you feel like you don't want to go through all that, you're welcome.

For me, this game is average at best, and I agree with the reviewer below about it being highly overrated.

DFD was the first adult game (in the form of a visual novel) that I ever played. So naturally, in the beginning, I actually enjoyed it. My guess is that this was because I had no previous experience, nothing to compare it to, which meant DFD blew everything I had seen before out of the water. As I have played more and more adult games, though, this one just seems worse and worse in comparison.

If we start off with the positives, however, the art work is good. Heidi and Kathy are two gorgeous-looking characters, that are some of the more attractive I have seen in any adult game. In general, the art work is polished and smooth, which is a strength with DFD. I also think the game starts of quite well, when you have to turn the struggling diner around and start a new relationship with Amanda. That was relatively exciting part of the story, where the themes were still of an adult game nature. Weirdly enough, though, the game just seems to get gradually worse after this stage.

To me, it almost seems as the developers got hubris, and thought their writing capabilities were far greater than what they actually are. Because all of the sudden, the focus of the game are on entirely different things than sex and relationships. When Amanda, who has supposedly looked up to you her entire life and loved you with all her heart, gets a visit from her aunt, her entire attitude changes towards you in the blink of an eye. This does not only feel unmotivated based on her character, but starts an insufferable plot line where she is distant and scattering.

What follows is some type of melodramatic cat and mouse chase, where things just feel convoluted and unnecessary. Amanda’s distance to you is portrayed as being incredibly dramatic, but in reality, everything could have been avoided by just having a simple conversation about the issue. This is what I mean when I say convoluted and unnecessary. The sex scenes are still dutifully included, but most of your time is now spent reading long monologues, which really isn’t all too exciting.

Honestly, most things are like this after the early stages of this game. If the characters would just talk to each other, everything would have been solved within seconds, but instead everyone just scatters, allowing for exaggerated drama and mystery.

I was going to give this a 3/5, but after reading my own review, 2/5 is more appropriate. Maybe I have been a bit harsh, because there are certainly many worse games out there. It’s a decent game to try out for a first time, but it does not reach the heights of other popular adult games.

After playing through the chapters again and trying out different things I'm disappointed to learn that most options don't really change the story at all and apart from a couple of things most of them result in the exact same outcome but one or two sentences are changed. The only real "choices" you are given are to see a sex scene or not see a sex scene (and sadly there are no options for the player to participate in the sex scene apart from where to cum). I'd ask why they bother but then the answer is to give the illusion of agency instead of having actual agency.
Apart from no choices that actually matter the writing is quite good. The character models are hot too but the renders aren't great and the sex scenes are functional but lackluster. The voice acting is, again, functional but not great.
Certainly not a bad game but highly overrated.

man i remember playing this a while ago on a website called gamecore. from i remember i thoroughly enjoyed this vn each episode i finished made me wish there was more. i was always dreading finishing the last episode and having to wait for a new one because i was really into the story. i don't like to waste my time playing games or doing things that might not be worth it. but i guarantee, you wont be disappointed but then again everyone has there own things they like and dislike well i very much like this. Go on give this vn a try if you like it great if not then i guess its not for you.

Its a really well designed game..the characters are well fleshed out...and everything erotic in the game is believable and is well supported by the story and character designs. Its one of my favorites...also there is some diversity and variety in models to some extent which is appreciated, its annoying when there are games which have models that have unrealistic, exaggerated, off putting(for me) body proportions in almost all the character models...realistic variety just makes a game more enriching.

Wasn't super into it when it started out, mostly because the "erotic fiction" plot seemed a little convoluted compared to the simple, slice-of-life styling of the rest of the game. Also felt like the sudden jump into a sexual relationship with the daughter was a bit jarring and a little too enthusiastic. However, the continued progression feels like it understands both complaints and is constantly improving, and I have to say while I wasn't convinced of the relationship between the MC and the daughter at first, the currently (as of Chapter 14) tense and awkward relationship genuinely makes me feel the same confusion and turmoil yearning for the previously passionate romance as the MC, which is good. The dialogue is pretty solid but I don't put too much thought about the fact that it's voice acted (i turn it off willingly). Making it this far in means I obviously have a lot of investment into the twists the story is taking and I really look forward to updates.
