At first I didn't, now I tried that but still got the same issue. Do I need to create some new backup file?

What's the whole process?

> Start start.bat of Chap4
> Start index.html of Chap4
> Create Backup File for Chap 4
> Close Chap4 in browser and cmd
> Start start.bat of Chap5
> Start index.html of Chap5

Technically it should have saved 4 in your cache without your help. I'm guessing you've got something inhibiting it from saving or running it for some reason.

Im getting this after I run start.bat....Wat should i do??

The Start.bat file didn't work for me either. It automatically closed without doing anything. A workaround I found for it is to create a htdocs folder in the server folder. Then copy the contents of the game folder in the htdocs folder. After that execute miniweb.exe, open your browser (preferably firefox or chrome), type localhost in the address bar and press enter. It should work after that.

If anyone is wondering how to extract files for this game. Please review below steps i have found:

• Go here:
  You must be registered to see the links
• Download quickbms
• Download yoyogames script from here:
  You must be registered to see the links
  
  
• Click on quickbms.exe
• Select the yoyogames.bms script
• Select data.win
• Select the folder where you want to extract the files
• That's all.

Above steps helped to extract the files from data.win but still unable to convert files to image format. If anyone can help in this, it would be highly appreciated.

If you'd read the op, the cracked chapters, 4 and 5 are online only. The way Palmer coded the downloaded versions there is no file you can transfer.

Has anyone got a CH3 save around?

I seem to have deleted my DfD folders, and ch4 asks for a save, in a game with barely any choices which is kinda stupid. Don't wanna go through it all over again.

I would really appreciate it.

Because if the nature of his save system mine got overwritten. Honestly though, if you take maybe 5 minutes each, you can skip through the first three chapters taking the choices you want and be ready to play chapter 4 before someone provides you with a save.

The point is quite simple:

1. the official online chapter 4 and 5 are accessible only to patreons.
2. because of point #1 chapter 4 and 5 can not be played online (not on the official server).
3. cracked chapter 4 and 5 are the same online games dowloaded and zipped and maybe somewhat "cracked" by Sam.
4. Sam added a minimalistic web server called miniweb to the package and wrote a small batch script to start that server (on a Windows computer) and make it to serve the game on your own computer and open your default web browser at the local computer address (localhost or 127.0.0.1) and port where he configured miniweb to serve the game.

So, while chapter 4 and 5 are online versions of the game, you can not play it online - you can play it on your own little web server that is running on your own computer, as long as the included Start.bat file is running.

Linux and Mac users have to configure their own little web servers to serve the game to them on their own computers. Apparently, the easiest for both is to run a python web server that is included in the python package.

Well, most of us managed to play it.
Yours looks like a gasket problem to me. I mean the gasket between the computer screen and the chair. penedeyewink:

But if newgrounds is serving chapter 4 and 5 now, then sure, one can play it there instead of downloading.
