No more offline version of this game?
That's what it looks like. It's like the author intentionally wants to piss in the face of their users. "Let's use a crap engine to begin with, claim it's the best, then refuse to allow off-line play and force you to play in a browser like it's some garbage flash game from 20 years ago, as well as disable all the simple controls that RenPy people enjoy, like easy access to saves, hiding the overlay crap, rollback, etc..."
I still like the game despite this shitting on of the users, but the author seems like a bit of a douche. (And I'm a paying patron, for the record.)
I've honestly been very tempted to port the first chapter to RenPy just to see how much better it would be to have native support for Windows, Linux, and Mac right out of the box, and how much better it would be to play a game where you actually have more control over it like most VNs.
