Actually, we will never know.
Based on previous posts, this dev (and his team) have made it clear they release a scaled down version of 'the game' in the free version.
Since there is 'dev work' to release the 'free version', there will always be something we don't know or cannot see.
I won't say I understand how the 'game' is free if it is always stripped down for 'free' release, but Palmer has always said the game is free, so the half-content thing he releases must tell the whole story, right??? That harem ending cannot be part of the story then, so it's just a hallucination, apparently...

No, Palmer has said more than once that the free release of chapter 19 is the full game, with the 4 extra (originally patron-only) endings. Here is one place he said that:

Well, respectfully, I have no idea what your link to medium.com is supposed to prove.
And, while there is a pic in this forum regarding the harem ending, there is no indication there wasn't more for full patrons.
Also, somewhere around post 8090 in this thread, Palmer was called out (by me) for claiming there was dev work to do to release Ch. 19 for free. If the full Patron version is what is released, WHY is there dev work? Just change the decorator on the entry point and make it public. But that's NOT what happened, there was a full-build release to remove content.
That post has (of course) since been removed, so I can't link to it, but I say again: If that version is what was released, why is there dev work (or no simple link to THAT version)?

Why is there dev work to release the free version? Because there are 2 versions - the offline and online versions. The non-free Patreon version only has an online version.
You really can't legitimately say "there was a full-build release to remove content" without some kind of evidence to back it up. If it was true, I think one of the many patrons on this thread would have called them out on it.
The offline version is a Windows application that needs to be update for each chapter. Personally, I think they should be doing everything in Ren'Py, but they feel differently.

Yeah, but would that cause pledges to go up or down? There aren't many places that advertise porn games. F95zone is one of the biggest. Big Brother's pledges skyrocketed because of this place. When Dark Silver switched to Glamour and made everything online, his pledges plummeted.
You could say it's because Glamour sucks, but look at Gumdrop and ICSTOR. Not much activity the past year from either one (a total of ONE release between them), but their pledges remain high.
Switching to Ren'Py would be a risk, but I think it's better for the customer (whether paying or free), and based on what I've seen here the past 2+ years, I think pledges would go up. Because honestly, the whole content delivery system kinda sucks.

my opinion is that supporters would go down at least briefly.
as for others gumdrop hasn't provided any content to his game past 2 years.

This means he does not release that AS the free version, which in turn implies there are cuts from the game FOR the free version.
Also, reference my.. discussion with him regarding why releasing the last free chapter required coding: https://f95zone.to/threads/daughter-for-dessert-ch-19-palmer.5291/post-2760365. Which basically means they didn't just open the endpoints of the game for the online version, but had to 'code' something.
Does he openly admit there are changes? Not directly. But the free-release is available on love-joint, so there IS an online version of the final chapter. But if it's just 'the game', why is there coding? Why not just open the endpoints?

THAT is the C# coding he's referring to.
Also, his talking about scenes available to $10 patrons does not necessarily mean in the game. I believe he's talking about bonus renders, not the game.
Palmer how about clearing this up? Is the free DFD the same as the patron-only DFD? Are the $10 scenes bonus renders posted on Patreon, or included in the Patreon-only game?

There is no "agree to disagree". You are writing incorrect information. The free version has both the online and offline version. They don't release just a free online version; they make the offline version as well. That's why I'm referring to the offline version. So when he says they have to do a bunch of coding for the free version, that's what he's talking about.
Oh, the online free version does have some stuff removed - no voice acting. So it's not just a simple "open the endpoints".

Played through 6 chapters online and the transitions were just too slow, sometimes you dont know if its frozen or waiting to be clicked, then click a few times and it ends up skipping dialogue...
Also playing through Chrome and this game chews through a lot of CPU cycles for some weird reason
Downloaded the offline version and it is a much better experience
