That time is awesome to me. Just enough time for a toiletbreak and a cup of coffee. I would love that. Anyone have an idea what rendertimes would be on a 3070? Thats the one I have my eye on.

Those times are about right especially with the amount of iterations you got running there I know when I was using the other GPU and it was pulling off of the CPU to get that many would take about 4 hours 3 to 4 hours that's about where I am with the 30 60 TI. Also some of it has to do with how you got your renders settings going back and make a difference too but if you can keep your render times in the 20 to 35 minute range you're really doing good especially if you're doing a high pixel rate.NOPE ! No change in time what so ever ??????? Now I am confused for sure...

I guess I was expecting more out of the machine but 25 min isn't to bad. I think some of it also may be that there is a shitload of back ground that isn't in view and may come into play also... Like I mentioned I just got started with DAZ and finding it to be a lot of fun and also a headache.. Thanks. Those times are about right especially with the amount of iterations you got running there I know when I was using the other GPU and it was pulling off of the CPU to get that many would take about 4 hours 3 to 4 hours that's about where I am with the 30 60 TI. I also have only a ryzen 1600 .. without video card, clearly I am penalized ... but the important thing is that you like it .... where you can't get to the hardware ... we try with ideas, to go you are in better shape than most of usGuys I have a question, is 2060 mobile good enough for rendering at a reasonable pace?
Depends on the scene, of course, but for example this one took about 55 minutes for 100% convergence on my 3070 (rendering quality 5). Character, hair and Golden Palace at SubD level 4, the character has arm, leg, face and belly hair (base resolution), HDRi environment. That time is awesome to me. I suddenly reeeeaaally feel like a need one, desperately!
then you have to make an Appointment .. her Secretary will come tomorrowI suddenly reeeeaaally feel like a need one, desperately!
But I need it now! And who knows, when I see the secretary, I may run out of time for the therapist.then you have to make an Appointment .. her Secretary will come tomorrow
you mean it is an Emergency? then she will make a exception maybe ?But I need it now! And who knows, when I see the secretary, I may run out of time for the therapist.
I'm not eager to meet her. She looks like she may bite at any time.Rendered 5 portraits, using pretty much the same quick lighting setup with mixed results but these are really more about comparisons and testing.
First up: Daynas. Part resting bitch face, and part just a bitch.

nothing to sneeze at. Render time optimization has so much more to do with than just the hardware setup. You have a transparent surface, what kind of lights are you using and what shader settings are you using for the water? The same questions are going for her skin. Skin and transparent surfaces are probably the most taxing stuff you can do to increase render time. Just to give you guys some context, one frame of the animated movie NextGen has an average render time of 45 Minutes. And that was achieved with specialized powerhouse hardware and the usage of dedicated render farms.NOPE ! No change in time what so ever ??????? Now I am confused for sure...

If you're talking about the nvidia rtx 2060, I have it and love it. Very fast renders in great detailGuys I have a question, is 2060 mobile good enough for rendering at a reasonable pace?
We all had to start somewhere. And the usage of the tutorial modules is a very good way to start your CGI journey. If you wanna improve this particular render a notch, the dress is dForce compatible. All you have to do is press the "simulation" button in the "simulation" panel. Everything should be configurated by default with this dress if I remember correctly. My first render. Quite literally the default model in the default environment... in default pose. View attachment 1102659
