Here's a redo of my character-render of Anne from The Adventurous Couple in 4K at 250 Iray iterations:

anne01_4k_250_n_p.png

I've been redoing a lot of renders since updating DAZ Studio to 4.12 wherein things function visibly very differently from how they used to in regards to things like lighting interactions (which are much stronger), bump maps (which are more visible), smoothing iterations (which give very different end-results from before), and so on. All in all, these have been very good changes in my opinion especially now that I'm no longer getting fireflies whatsoever when doing character test-renders (read: "sprites") without environments (for the transparency) and scene files aren't crashing when I try to load them with clothing that has gone through a lot of custom-fitting via morph dials whereas before I would have to save certain scenes with the clothing both hidden and unfit from its respective character(s). I basically skipped 4.11 because it broke push modifiers I believe depending on whether they were applied before or after smoothing and collision iterations, but I saw that they fixed that issue in the 4.12 notes so I went ahead and installed the new version.

Does anyone know how to add buttons on my daz layout?
For a example the smooth modifier wich I use it quite often in most of the g3 figures..
I know I can add keybinds shortcuts but meh.. I would like to have it in my bar somewhere.
I saw in a video you can do that but don't know how..

Nevermind.. found it..
F3 - add your buttons.. the thing is I have tool bar and main bar.. kinda of the same.. but the tool bar was hidden and I was adding the buttons there and didn't knew why it doesn't appear on my screen.. oh well :)

Hi guys! This is my first ever "Scene" render and I'm wondering if you could give it a honest review, what can I improve on? etc.

My personal critic is that there are still some grain (on her thumb) after 9hrs of rendering, I'm also not really happy with the background. I placed a flat green surface from another Environment prop and some Tree props to give it some feel of depth, but it just doesn't feel... right. I was trying to use some HDRI backgrounds but that looked even worse or out of place. I was trying to go for an early morning summer vibe which I think came of quite good, what are your thoughts?

I also want to know if this render would be good if used in a game? Is this acceptable quality?

Can you guys please help out this little newbito with some advise? :geek:

converted to genesis 3 and iray, also trying new hdri

This is mostly significant because this one's a full-body morph, I had to do some stuff to get the body and head reasonably close and still genesis 3 pose friendly. Possibly due to my skill limitations, but still! :D

For me it would be better if the guy was looking at her, him looking away takes impact from the scene but that's just my opinion. Then again I don't know what are you trying to portrait story wise.
