Are you loading an old save? There's some issues with old saves and sound because the dev added different channels to have multiple audios play at once and to separate the music and sound sliders.
There's 2. TWO avoidable scenes about it in a game with +5000 renders that already has like 10-20 normal lewd scenes. Such a "waste" man, I get you.

I dunno then, I just tried in a fresh game and the sliders work fine for me. I can raise the volume or mute it.

Eh, it depends on the person. Some people like getting cucked, other like seeing the cucked guy's pain. I like ones with optional ntr that isn't especially obvious because once I do a good run I like going back and trying to fuck up as much as possible. It's fun to see things from different perspectives sometimes.
