however immersive and all around packed with interactions and dialogues,
with actual characters, to the few scenes of rape and murder, the end game scenes.
No wonder dev had to step in, you may enjoy the extreme violence, but telling the dev you only
liked / liked the rape and murder most, it kind a sucks all the fun out of this game.

I din't had any problem wit this game. I like this game and all characters. I didn't play rape path, but I had a choice. No problem.
Developer was scared away.
I saw many people liked this game until which hut was on. Problem was on the begin those rape scenes, even avoidable, people complain. Really much. Dev made his statement and opened voting. Voting was, if I remember, pro rape. Dav said patreon has made problems. People was attack developer that he's not speaking truth (there is not a single proof for or otherwise). Dev said he will make game without rape scenes. People goes beserk. At least dev said it will be two version, fan made with rape scenes and vanilla one. And we still speak about it.
I have not a single problem nor I ever had. I think is, after Now&Then best avaiable dystopian zombie VN out there.

Its my choice what i like and that doesnt make me any less of a human being and before u try to paint me as the villian i have never even complained to the dev about the game and i never plan to i just wrote a comment saying that i enjoyed those scenes..its a porn game after all where most of the focus is on sex so remember that before u try to take the moral high ground..dont be so self righteous man lmao..

I like how people just straight up ignore everything the dev says. Why don't you go back and read what the dev wrote in some of their patreon posts. TLDR what the dev wanted this to be and what it ended up as were vastly different so he made the decision to change it to fit want he wanted it to be.

Its always funny to see people who don't pay a single dime to the developer whining about what kind of content the dev does or doesnt put in to his game in a piracy forum the entitlement is real.

It would be cool if dev introduced some new survivors or villain gang to the story.

We saw few people in last update. And if I'm correct, dev said there will be other people. But I don't think they will be LI. Only Mom and Sis. About villains, don't know yet, but it wouldn't be far-fetched to believe there are some of that sort too. It's a dystopian world after all.

finally played the "other" version and I feel that it could have been kept in the game, maybe with the option to not see it if someone didnt want to. feel like it increases the stakes of trying to survive a dystopian world. Maybe have some sci-fi element attached to such events (for example, birthing a different version of zombies within minutes that is the opposite of the MC, etc.)

Actually, I haven't seen any of the zombie scenes, so there was already the option of not seeing them if the player wants it: it was simply not choosing the option where the game itself warns that the NTR occurs (if I remember correctly, there is an option at the beginning of the game that activates the warnings). You don't see it becouse it doesn't happen, which in fact I guess is what everyone who doesn't want to see this type of scene wants.

But even on the beginning of this game there were outrages people whining about avoidable rape scenes. Dev removed them. Now again different outrages people whine why aren't there rape scenes. On first part many people who were "pro" rape scenes didn't say a single word, when dev removed that part now those people come out and "facepalm" the group who don't like rape scenes or those like me who doesn't care about "rape scenes" when they are avoidable. The NTR is avoidable too, only few people complained about it.

I liked the existence of the rape scenes. Not because I wanted to see them, but because I like to prevent them from happening.

Yes, I liked that part about preventing too. About rape scenes, I'm kinda neutral. If the game is good and those scenes aren't the essence of the game, they aren't the deal breaker. And they should be avoidable.

Apparently the scenes were there to include some kind of challenge other than the typical "zombies eat your sister" and more in keeping with the type of game. I also think that his idea was for people to try to prevent it from happening, so in principle he had no intention of making it affect the MC's relationship with his mother and his sister.
In any case, the elimination of these scenes is due to a combination of factors, rather than a single reason: The Dev was tired of doing these types of scenes, which apparently he doesn't like very much, and had already decided that these scenes were going to be fewer and fewer, eventually disappearing. To this we must add the weariness of seeing how in each update some people commented more on those scenes than what he considered important in the game (the MC's relations with his family). In this context, I suppose that criticism of the existence of those scenes could only ratify his decision, in the same way that all the comments from people who only gave importance to those scenes would also have a similar effect. Possibly at one point he was convinced that he had to remove those scenes, and both the comments from those who praised them and those who criticized them only served to accelerate what he had already decided to do.

Was the game better/worse? I can say it's the same actually. The core of the game is unchanged. We lost how many renders? 50? Developer aims much more renders, we lost 1% of the game. Nothing. I could live with all versions of the game. I think when we take control of Elisabeth or Juliet we actually only turn on/off lesbian content. In most cases. I liked that. And few other things.
The core of the game was and is good. I really enjoy playing it.

In reality, what the Dev wants to express with the game doesn't change if there are raping zombies or if they become brain-eating zombies like those in any movie. If, like me, you avoid the rapes, you don't notice any difference between playing with raping zombies or otherwise. And the Dev had already commented that these scenes weren't going to modify the MC's relationship with his family (which made their effects aesthetic and punctual, without long impact)
Have we gotten word on who will be working to continue the original version (or Monster Sex) of the game yet?

I don't see that happening, as the developer has said that from the next update there won't be any more of these types of scenes, and I don't think anyone will try to mod the game to include them.

There was something a while ago on his page. And there wasn't anything that would suggest that it's abandoned. I'm not sure who will make rape versions, possible Hot Tomato himself, but they will not be distributed under his name. If it will be distributed here question is from whom and how (patch:addon or standalone version) It's not even much renders. 50 more probably.
For me and people who like the game how it's now, doesn't matter anyway, but if this other version will be created, I'm sure somebody will leave a massage here.
Dev said he did not like making the zombie rape and as dev said it would not be sustainable as the game progresses as mc grows. The patch you are talking was the first thing dev said but then released a full statement after that it is no longer the plan i believe. So even if a third party make a patch i dont think it will fit story at all as dev is trying to make the mc stronger and focus on the relationships and story.
