Are the tags for the prologue and main game the same, or are some only in one and not the other?

I downloaded the Free Steam (ALL AGES) version of Gaiden and it worked! Why didn't this one work for me huh?!

Hey Sarica Can you please upload the Installer version of the games please so that I test this BS myself? I am really doomed to have no future JAST games work for me or something! This is a curse!

I think this is related to the game settings: Sarica's screen must be higher resolution than I am and since he gave the game installed and all, the settings of the game aren't backwards compatible with my screen settings. That's why the fresh copy of Gaiden on Steam worked and this copy didn't... So yeah, I need to test if this theory is true by getting the installer!

The files I've uploaded here, both for Gaiden and the Main Story, are how the game comes from the JAST USA's website.

I didn't unpack them or anything. I just renamed the archives, and that's it. The games you've downloaded are exactly as they come from the store.

I have all those installed, buddy and I even reinstalled them: NOPE! It IS a settings issue. As I said, the Steam Free version worked fine for me! I have an idea to test this: Could you please please please reupload only Gaiden however change the settings of the game to a lower screen settings and windowed (As in 1280X800, that's smaller than my screen).

Before I do that, are you using an NVidia card? If yes, then do this:

"Go into nvidia control panel and turn off the antialiasing or set it to application controlled for these games, and then try to run them."

If that doesn't work, I'll see about uploading that version you asked for. After I come home from work.

Did that as well... doesn't work! In the meantime: Gonna try and compare the Steam Version files and this version files. Haven't even downloaded the main game yet btw!

Good enough. I'm ok with rape, but is annoying when the game is all about choosing how to loose the game.

This is a kamige... Heard it's the highest rated JP visual novel of 2021. Space Muramasa with aliens.

The scat scene should be limited to one I believe, and it's not even sexual so it's shouldn't be a "fap" kind of scat scene. Torture is a thing in the story, so that's prob where it will go.
I do dig dark stories that has manipulation and propaganda the cast has to fight against. Bonus if it's space and aliens, I wish there's more games like that (sci-fi genre + dark).

Okay, so there is no option in the game settings to change the resolution. For both the Gaiden and the Main Story.
The only thing you can do is change between the Full Screen and the Windowed mode.

Here, I changed it from Full Screen to Windowed mode. Before I upload the whole Gaiden game again (which I think is pointless, since the settings file seems to be stored in the Documents folder, and NOT in the game folder itself"), overwrite the save file with my own.

It's in the:

"C:\Users\Username\metalogiq\DEA_gaiden\sav"

Replace your file with my own.

Look at my comment above and try that.

But before you try that, I want you to try the following. Inside the game folder is a folder called "movie".
Rename that folder to something else, like "moviez". Then start the game. If it opens, select that you don't want to play the movie, and the game should work fine then.

Let me know if that works.

Tell me! The game has another SAV file INSIDE of the freaking game that is named sysfile3.ORG. Y'know anything about that one?!

Ignore that one. It's irrelevant. The actual save file is inside the Documents folder, in the path I've listed above. But try to rename the movie folder first.

Will do when I finish redownloading (in approx an hour) yeah my internet isn't as fast as yours! That's why I don't upload stuff here. Let me tell you: If it is a Codec issue, then I'll update my entire K-Lite Codec Pack as well.

Codec reinstall and update... didn't work...
Result: Negative.
I have ZERO IDEA why Gaiden doesn't work despite the Steam free version working like a charm. Let's test one last thing on YOUR SIDE. Delete the entire DeadEndAegis folder (including the savefiles) (like the main game, not Gaiden) and try running Gaiden on its own... Maybe they're coorelated somehow!

PS: I can hear BaasB laughing maniaclly inside of my head, telling me "Steam version is always superior despite the suspicious cracking we do here..." It's not that I hate the work you do, it's the type of cracks used in some games (example Meltys Quest: I really wanna request a reupload of that game because of the crack, no joke)
