They share their discord link and explained everything in the latest post although I'm sure some of us will be far too skeptical to believe it.
If that doesn't show how eager they were to drop the project, I don't know what will. I mean, they even opened up a subscribestar right after. They could've easily funded the game through that but clearly they weren't interested in continuing it and rode the wave.Hahahaha after years with no progress they suddenly pull the plug on it because allegedly patreon told them it violates their ToS. Man I wasn't really expecting much after I rediscovered this years later with the same amount of content but this is pretty funny.
Which is infuriating because the rpg was the best they were putting out. Everything else theyre trying to pedal is uninteresting garbage. If that doesn't show how eager they were to drop the project, I don't know what will. Ironic, considering the RPG was supposed to just be a means of promoting their other projects.Which is infuriating because the rpg was the best they were putting out. Everything else theyre trying to pedal is uninteresting garbage.
Not to defend, but the explanation I saw them give was the programmer left and they lack the technical skill to program rpgmaker to continue the game.Hahahaha after years with no progress they suddenly pull the plug on it because allegedly patreon told them it violates their ToS. No, the programmer who left was a paid contractor for the other game they were developing. They had 2 games in development, this one (Deathblight RPG Operation Thunderfang) patreon funded and the other (Deathblight Guilty Raid) self funded which is the one the programmer flaked on according to them (believe what you will). Not to defend, but the explanation I saw them give was the programmer left and they lack the technical skill to program rpgmaker to continue the game.
I mean, the dev is in discord as recent as today saying the programmer leaving is why this game isn't continuing production due to the dev's inability to program it.No, the programmer who left was a paid contractor for the other game they were developing. They canceled Operation Thunderfang because of patreon taking issues with the adult content (again according to their post) and despite making a subscribestar account decided to not use that to fund it.
I'm not on their discord, but like I said they had TWO games in development. Only one of which they said had a programmer issue in the blogspot / patreon post. So unless their discord message was about this game (Operation Thunderfang) and not about the other game (Guilty Raid)...I mean, the dev is in discord as recent as today saying the programmer leaving is why this game isn't continuing production due to the dev's inability to program it.
Man it sounds like the devs are just a bunch of assholes who used porn to attract people to there game lmao. Tho it still makes me a bit sad to see such a good looking game to to waste.I'm not on their discord, but like I said they had TWO games in development. And honestly, since we know for a fact they were using the rpgmaker code from Moral Sword of Asagi for this one (Thunderfang), there's a hell of a lot less coding that needed to be done.
