v1.41 MTL is unplayable. gives a renpy error immediately as you start the game. tried ignoring it and it kept on throwing other errors.

Doesn't happen to everyone (e.g. me ), so either you fucked up the installation or there's some problem specific to your setup. Without knowing what the errors were and whether you used some incompatible mod, no way to make sure.

they didn't even translate everything, some of the settings are in russian

What exactly do you need help with? It's the endgame quest, taking over all of the realm. Prepare the Army of Darkness, level up your dragon and start conquering.

Click 'Lands of Darkness' -> 'Army of Darkness' -> 'Go to WAR!'. Then beat everything you encounter.

So I found this game while looking for the impregnation tag and this showed up and it seems hinted at through what I played (I only got to assholes defeat) and then nothing am I missing something or did I just get jipped?

What do you mean? That your dragon can't impregnate maidens? You can't watch them carry to term? Lack of pregnancy pics?

No clue as to what that even means. You could apply the 'asshole' label to a lot of characters, including the dragon himself.

Have you tried Joiplay? Finding the right version might be a pain, but I doubt anyone is still developing this.

I attached the partially complete translation mod. Just extract it in the install foler and overwrite.

Resetting progress in the free game will start you over from the beginning with a tiny dragon with a single trait. Many of the achievements require you to beat the game with a particular style of dragon.

There is a wiki with a decent guide linked in the OP.

It's Russian and, well, Runglish. (In)famously so, to the point that fans have interpreted it as the dragon not quite grokking the whole 'humanspeak' thing.

1.0.1 is much better than 1.4.1 on that front, but by no means perfect. Personally, I didn't find it all that offensive, since DW never was a story-heavy game. YMMV.

The game was designed with some "roguelike" features to discourage savescumming so the save and load system is quite different from the usual renpy games. You can generally only have a single save which allows you to continue your game from the main menu.
Yes the language is quite poor, I attached an incomplete fanmade translation to a previous post which you can try. Beware it does cause some errors but I think they can be ignored with no crashing.

Note that the original (1.0.1.) translation is sorta in the "so bad it's good" category. Defiler Wings is slightly infamous for it, and some people have professed an actual like for the linguistically-inapt dragon(lings).

1.4.1 is worse, and the very partial translation just takes the extra-raw edge off.
