Sometimes i get prompts like this -
"You feel something shift in your consciousness, as if you're entering a trance. A wordless voice urges you to give in. "
What is that from? I dont have ear slime, so thats not it

In that particular case i got two options - Resist (with a willpower check) and "This will feel good" that starts an encounter where im entranced and cant do anything

Similar event happened in school, except there i had an option to spank somebody

Looks like this happens if you listen too much to Dr Harper.
There are random events where your level of hypnosis is checked against willpower.

FC is a flawed pornified economic simulator
No, an economic simulator would have resources, trasportation, production, and the circulation of goods and services--the stuff that defines economies--like SimCity or Tropico do. FC does not model any kind of economy despite the presence of a balance sheet. It is just a power fantasy, but that is not my issue with it. Plenty of games are simple power fantasies--some of which kick ass--but the ones that kick ass have characters in them upon whom the player can project power. Sure there is horrible stuff in the game, but it's all horrible in the abstract when it only befalls undisguised algorithms.

You have gotten me wondering what a real pornographic economic simulator would look like. Maybe it could be set in a town that is drowning in unemployment after its factory closed down. In a desperate move to save the town, prostitution has been legalized, and the player takes on the role of the mayor who must transform the factory town into a sex tourist destination while repairing infrastructure and meeting the needs of the population. Something like that could be fun, especially if it is kept somewhat silly. Or we could just play Degrees of Lewdity from Quinn's perspective.

You missed the 'flawed' part in my statement. FC does have resources (slaves) and circulation of goods (milk, cum, slaves) and services (sexual entertainment). There are primitive chains of production too: you can buy dirt cheap slaves, process them in your facilities (schoolroom, surgery) and then sell with profit. You can breed slaves and sell them with profit. You have competition. You have demand and supply. At the end of week, money and reputation is all that matters. This game is nothing more than a perverted balance sheet, as if some bored accountant took a pen and drew tits and dicks (and sharp metal objects) on financial reports. And then took it further and started writing smutty paragraphs. Because of the html engine and lack of balance this game does a very poor job at being an economic simulator, so what you're left with is an aimless power trip with short porn passages that would feel at home in any de Sade's novel.

Porn and real do not go well together.

I have a better idea! Imagine some amateur IT developer whose factory closed down, so in a desperate move to improve his financial situation he sets up a Patreon account where he sells subscriptions to early access to this porn game he's developing. The game will contain anything and everything under the sun, as long as it has pregnancy/cumflation, futa, transformation, harem-collection and progressive corruption. To make things more complicated, his work-in-progress game is simultaneously being published on 'pirate porn game' sites where it's available for download free of charge (if you don't mind banner ads to paid porn games which do not even exist) and more often than not the dev himself puts his work out there. Your job is to stay afloat and keep your sanity...

See where I'm getting? While sex and money can and often are exchanged, it is a very difficult trade. Sooner or later you end up banalizing that which is ultimately intimate. We live in times where it's dead simple to access gigatons of free lewd depictions of intimacy and at the same time it's getting harder and harder to touch and be touched by the real thing, not its depiction. In a solid porn economic simulator, you'll either cheapen the sex part or the economy part. Most probably, both.

Vrel doesn't like to give out planned release dates...too much drama when it's not met, which is very understandable. People expect you to adhere to release dates fervently when they are made public knowledge and often rail you for it when you don't.

All that stuff is in DoL, except that in DoL you can only sell your own character. Without going too deep down the rabbit hole of what is or is not "economy," I would say that anything that excludes resources, trasportation, production, and the circulation of goods and services cannot be about economy as those are definitive aspects of economy. FC is more like business modeling where everything outside of the business itself that is necessary to its function is just assumed to be somewhere out there without any intervention on the part of the owner.

I don't know about that. I can only speak for myself, but the homemade stuff is almost always more exciting to me for its sincerity.

See where I'm getting?
Not really, no.

Ah, so you mean that either the sex or the economics must get short-shifted. That would be a thing to avoid if one were to develop such a game. Sure, sex for moeny would be happening all around, but how can it be fit into the game experience at every available opportunity? Try this on: there are unique desires for different groups of sex tourists. They each want different things out of the various types of interactions that they pay for. For example, "husbands with frigid wifes" want quick and to-the-point straight sex experiences with a high degree of discretion. To keep tourists of a given type coming back, the player has to make it possible for them to get those things that they want, so, in the above example the player would follow such a tourist along his vacation and watch his adventure to determine how secluded his parking spaceis , how quickly he can find an available girl, how quickly she herself is able to get the job done (the pornographic element of the game). Maybe the tourists in the "husbands with frigid wives" category like to be propositioned in bars by prostitutes, but the tourists in the "lonely nerds" category do not. There would have to be bars both with and without prostitutes working the crowd (another opportunity for porn) in order to appeal to both crowds, and they would have to be conveniently located in places that the respective tourist groups would frequent. You could even find a place for porn in the game balancing elements. Removing the prohibition on lascivious displays on the public beach (lots of porn to be had) would make the town wildly popular with the "stupid college kids" group, but it would come at the cost of a major hit to prostitution revenues, since the people who are fucking each other on the beach for free will be disinclined to pay for it later. I can think of a hundred other ways that porn could be worked into economics. Like you said, the trick would be to keep that at the forefront.

What do you think would be a good game engine for something like that? DoL is proof that Twine can model a lot of complex variables, but I imagine that it would have trouble with building and placing things on a map. Renpy does not seem to be capable of sufficient complexity, but it would be great with the map stuff and offer beffer graphics.

Ohhh yeah now that would an idea for a spin off if Vrenlir had the manpower of 100 programmers; Give Quinn an actual backstory in how he got into Politics and then everything would branch out from there.
  • Bribes appear on your desk every day seeing as Corruption is out of control! Do you accept them or risk making enemies?
  • Violent crime is rampant but fixing it would agitate the people above and under you!
  • Bailey is a big funding source of much of Towns budget but his future is uncertain, maybe its time to hand him over to the Inernation authorities?
  • An Independent Journalist has decided he wants to report on the struggles of living in this Town for the Working Class, do you try to silence him or turn a new leaf and change course?
  • And much much more...
Quinn's Gamble: available on store shelves for The Switch 3, PS8 and Steam in April 2038!!

Somehow I'd like to play a game like that.

Brownbeard_thePirate After 5 minutes of looking at the code, I guess that would be the following: if you scream during a public sex act to attract attention, one possibility is that a police officer would show up, and then there is a possibility that instead of helping you they arrest you "for indecency and for inciting indecency in others".

Actually, that's a good point. Was the name Slave Cities taken by another game?
My impression was, that this was coming from a rather weird interpretation of "freedom".
Like freedom from all these stupid little rules a society imposes on its members.
That kind of freedom that does not stop at other peoples' freedom.
