Last time I had a fucking shitty gmail account, fucking shitty Google forcefully kicked me out of it to force a re-login, accepted my password but said they "needed more information" to confirm that it was actually me, and...then gave me no options in order to confirm that it was me because I didn't have 2FA enabled. I did have a backup email address specified, which they also asked about, but again, even after entering it, they asked for more information and there simply wasn't anything I could give them. So having been permanently locked out of my fucking shitty gmail account with no chance for recourse (seeing as fucking shitty Google has zero human tech support), I switched to a different provider after that. If you're telling me I can't even go to a blogspot without a fucking shitty gmail account, and that I can't even make a fucking shitty gmail account without using a driver's license...well, I guess I'm out of options! Maybe if I forge a fake driver's license? I'm not sure. No way in hell I'm ever giving fucking shitty Google my real license for anything though, much less a fucking shitty gmail account.

P.S. Don't mistake all the "fucking shitty"s for anything but hostility towards specifically fucking shitty Google. Obviously, this is no-one's fault but fucking shitty Google's, and I have to keep saying "fucking shitty Google" because it's the right thing to do.

i mean ID isnt a bad thing, i dont want minors/kids in adult spaces

however making it so you absolutely must own a google account and only letting you see nsfw content on a blog with a google account where you submitted ID to to even view nsfw content is just such a hassle. also what if you dont have a valid ID? or money to renew your ID? etc. bare minimum i wish we could still look at nsfw blogspots without needing to login or something
I just wish parents would look after their kid like they are supposed to.
I however never would send my ID to Google. They can go fuck themselves.

So you wish everyone was a helicopter parent? Part of becoming an adolescent is learning how to assert one's independence. There is no healthy way for parents to be 100% aware of what their kids are doing 100% of the time if the kid decides they don't want the parent to know. I don't know about ID checks specifically, but pErSoNaL rEsPoNsIbIlItY is a cop out and always has been. If a site hosts content that shouldn't (or in some cases, legally can't) be accessed by people of all ages, some of the responsibility for ensuring minors are less likely to do so should lie with the content host.

No, all responsibility for that should lie with the parents cause its their kids. As long as they are kids its the parents job to look out for their safety, its got nothing to do with being helicopter parents. That doesnt mean that every move of the kid has to be monitored, but if you as a parent dont want your kids to be browsing sites like this, its your job to restrict your kids access to them, and maybe check their browser history once in a while if you really feel the need to. On the content hosts side, putting up a 'are you over 18 years old' popup doesnt do shit, and asking for ID checks is overreaching, so they dont really have a way to regulate kids on their platforms anyway.

Im certainly not giving google my pesonal information so they can link my real world me to shit like this game, lol. They probably know too much about me already.

That's why I make dummy accounts for it.
I don't think Google is stupid enough to belive that "Cactus Longprick" is a genuine person.
But a dummy account doesnt work for this cause you have to verify yourself with an ID or credit card.

Ahh yes. Not abondening your child to strangers on the Internet is Helicopter parenting.
Wonderful.
Do you perhaps have a beart and are bald?

I do not who gave you the asinine idea that the Internet is your personal Kindergarten. A kid simply shouldn't be left with strangers (especially not fucking Here), no matter if it is RL or the web.
And yes, you are responsible if your kid witnesses a Gang Bang. It is your kid for fuck sake, take care of it.

I haven't seen any that asked me for it.
I just used a random phone number to gain access, that's pretty much it.

Honestly, I don't really care apart from the fact that kids online act like complete assholes. If they want to look at porn and are enterprising enough to pull it off without getting caught by their parents, well, good for them. It doesn't really hurt them any. I remember stealing my first porno when I was like eight years old.

I get the feeling that nowadays it's more about not getting shut down or in trouble with law over actually protecting innocent eyes. In the long run it might help with ensuring only the right people have access to more mature content, but it often winds up being pedantic and even absurdly obstructive to legitimate observers. Mosaic censorship in porno vids on a site that doesn't even incorporate anything beyond a simple login process or a "hey, you 18 by chance" popup comes to mind.

Nope, it wants me to log into my google account and when I do it asks me to "verify my age" either with my credit card or my ID. Thats also why I cant watch certain youtube videos anymore, the same bs happens there.

Weird, I never had that credit card / ID part.
Like I said on the previous one, they just ask for a phone number instead, send the code verifying if I'm a person etc etc.

Imagine thinking I'm a bot. Skinwalkers for life

It depends on your home country.

It's really weird. Some posts above I claimed that I've never seen a login request. For years now.
But now I have, and it doesn't go away. But only in one browser instance. In three other instances I still only get the content warning.

I don't believe it's country/region-specific, as I used my VPN to connect from all parts of the world (a few different Asian countries, South Africa, a number of different European countries including Switzerland and the UK, Canada, the U.S., New Zealand, Israel...) and every single one gets the same "Sensitive content warning" -> "Sign in to confirm your age" loop. Used a clean/private session for each new attempt, too. Best guess is that some people have a persistent cookie in their browser that is allowing them to bypass the sign in screen...for now, but probably not forever.

So has there been a new update? I'm not putting my I.D on a (relatively) easy to hack account so I can't access the blogspot anymore.
