Bitcoin is not a currency it is a speculative commodity. A volatile one at that. The transaction fees and times alone are enough to render it basically useless for anything that is actually a common use case because unless you pay extra to skip the queue of transactions the amount of time it takes to process one often times drastically changes the value of the currency. Its like going to a store and picking up something on the shelf for $5 only for it to cost $3 when you get to checkout but finally costing $7 when the payment clears. Not to mention the ever looming threat that the bubble pops and its all useless tomorrow.
It is an absolute last resort because literally any other option is better.
Musk will never do anything that is actually good for users or people in general. I mean hes the most famous "free speech absolutist" and he has been running around twitter trying to turn it into an echochamber and banning people for saying shit he doesnt like. Even if he does make a payment processor its likely going to be even more policed than what we already have.
I don't think Bitcoin is even a "resort" at all, unless you are an active Bitcoin farmer yourself.
It has no bases, no accountability, no stability, like, at all. Not to mention all the hoops regular people need to jump over to use it, and the massive outlaw security risk.
And I think the others "X" meant "a new unknown entry", Not "X" as twitter. Not sure why you even default "X" onto Elon.
Although I wish the game had more active gameplay instead of just passively accepting things—for example, gradually unlocking actions that give the player more agency as skills improve, which would add a strong sense of story and RPG flavor—aside from that, I think this game is really well made.
I also hope the developer will continue their great work.
IMO that's probably impossible unless the game is rebuilt from ground up, with better progression / action implementation in mind (And probably a better engine). The best example I can think of is LonaRPG.
DoL is just already too big to do such dramatic change. (DoL2 maybe)
And it's funny so many cry for a "3rd position", as if it would improve the game-play in any meaningful way.
