Is there any way of killing the tentacles other than the Medstations? Any pill that removes it after it has hatched?
Also what are the downsides of having it? Does anything change?
I could swear I got my full health bar back by letting one hatch, but don't know if it was a bug or what.
When you attempt to surrender, the enemy's own infection level is compared to yours. If your infection levels/tentacle levels are higher than theirs (or to be more precise - greater than their threshold of "acceptable" infection levels, which are dependent on their own infection) - they do not engage in sex, and simply steal your stuff.Besides what VanillaLover said, enemies favor oral sex over other options by a lot (they might be completely using only oral not sure)
It used to affect surrendering in a way that i can't remember, might still be a thing. I think they were just stealing and not raping if you are completely normal and not looking like a used whore but this has a 80% chance of being a misinformation (i mean i'm not sure at all how it affects surrendering, but it did affect surrendering at some point)
If you're stuffed full of eggs or have 100% tentacles - only the most mutated enemies will engage in sex. You can judge the enemies infection level by the intensity of the biohazard symbol in their detection indicator - or visually by the amount of weird pink stuff they have popping out of them.
Finally, if you're heavily infected (~100%) - the tentacles in the water will not attack you at all, even if you move fast, etc.
