Not gonna happen with the slow burn nature of the game. Which is fine. Demon Boy is still the best 3D game on this website. So we just have to wait. Every game now has a long release schedule (3-9 months), the people who are impatient check this site everyday so those people drown out everyone else.
Unfortunately Ero has all the leverage in this situation which sucks but the worst outcome for this game is it gets abandoned because everyone is on Ero's ass or unsubscribes. If you give Ero money expect to lose it. If you don't give Ero money, the game gets abandoned. So either way, you lose. But I would rather lose a little bit of money and wait rather than lose this game outright.
The truth is he probably has writer's block/render's block which is why he started his new game, to still get some productivity in. Everyone (including me) has put this game on a pedestal.
You guys just need to treat this as a high risk high reward investment. If you lose money you lose money. You can always make more. But this game can't be re-made.

Yeah right, if that's supposed to happen the new chapter has to last at least a couple of hours or it has to have a good amount of scenes with a bit of character development, which I certainly doubt given his recent declarations.

An animation doesn't feels right after sitting on this idea for weeks or months and suddenly the animation doesn't feel right? Checking on grammar errors for 3 weeks? Is this new update written in some ancient language or what? He's a one man team as an excuse for... Yeah for what? No information on that either. A surprise release 3 or 4 weeks ago but suddenly the game isn't ready for release?

I love this game, is probably the most antecipaded game by me. But no dude. Demon boy is far from be the best 3D game on this site and/or patreon (and there is no problem with that)

And that's the thing: if you are gonna take 9 months or so for release a update, you have to make worth it. Either in quantity as in quality. Devs like DPC, Digi.b, Naughty Dog really take a long time to release a update, but the updates always are really huge and provide hours of playtime in a single playthrought. This won't happen here if chapter 8 end around 800 renders as Ero said. Which make 9 months or so to release this chapter of Demon Boy simply bad. I know i'm being unfair comparing Ero with the top AVN devs, but this is how people see the relation between development time x amount of content. And just like a lot of players and devs like to say: it is what it is.
Sincerely, i'm not even hyped for this chapter anymore. What i really wish now, as a fan of this game and the dev, is Ero release this update simply to finally relieve this burden from his shoulders and finally move on. And finally learn with the huge mistakes he has made during this development cycle, streamlined a better workflow, seriously rethink the way he plan his chapters and get ride of this idea of always make the next chapter with more renders and animations than the last. Otherwise this game will sadly be just another of the fuckton of games in a limbo between almost never updated/abandoned and Ero will be see more close to infamous devs like Icstor, ttll, Lewdlab than the real good and reliable devs (and pratically all of them also are one man team like him) of these type of games.
Unfortunately, I think if you aren't making a fuckton of money on your game, porn games are basically not worth it at all for the developer. Which is why giving money to developers should be written off as a tax deducted loss. Like what's the domain knowledge you need to know? You need to learn how to code, learn how to use blender or photoshop, learn DAZ, learn how to write a script, learn how to manage social media presence, and probably some more skills. And all of this for peanuts. Which is why I'm fine with throwing Ero some change here and there. I'm glad I'm not the one doing it. It's just not worth the effort.

That was already the same problem with the previous update (0.4), the only thing that changed is he made a progress bar that meant nothing in the end.
