do we have cheats on in the downloads or do you actually have to deliberately lose inorder to get the scenes? your early attacks are like at 500-900(i think my easy mode is turned off too)

As far as i remember, there is no losing scenes, if you lose> game over

yeah but you need to get hit by H attacks. and the starting stats are too high to even get hit. you keep dodging and you hit them with 1 hit. at least the 1st few enemies. why i asked if there's a cheat turned on or something

Is not the average RPGM art, but there is nothing that make it impossible. You can add any kind of art to a RPGM game.

The problem seems to be the game is looking for Japanese filenames, which are not displaying properly so the game can't find them. Can someone offer a fix here?

Use WinRar. Set the encoding language to Japanese then unzip normally.
