Only way to recover would be to add a decent ending for this project, not a "Trust me bro." for the next one.
Cause that still leaves this one ruined and most feeling betrayed... And that response is a massive cop-out that makes you look like a.... well you know.
I'd have thought the loss of subs would have made this obvious to you.

O and to add icing on the cake, you have a daughter named after the girl in MC's heaad, that's going to fuck new MC... so you're round-a-bout cucking this MC
especially after hinting at some Father-daughter dynamic to then bitch out.

I didn't hint shit, you're just delusional about a thing that was never there. That scene was meant to give MC courage to show him he can be a good father, not a tease of him fucking his daughters. It was a dream sequence as well, we don't even know if his daughters are going to look like that. i think it has been well established by now that pretty much nobody liked the ending. could we maybe turn down the negativety a bit. rest of the game is overall seen in a positiv light and it seems dev got the message. nothing good will come from further harassing excapt maybe discurage him from making another game, which might turn out much better now that he "learned his lesson"...

Wtf this guy really thinks MC will fuck his daughter because he named it serena LOL. He named it that way to thank and remember the help of an important person who sacrificed herself to help him has this great happiness. After thinking back, I think this ending was really good. That shot for the MC was like a "wake up call" for him. He is carrying a huge responsibility towards the people he loves and loves him but he is too careless, subjective and cocky.
The last scene I thought was a small scene in the future, not a dream. So that dream created by serena proves that she's still there just can't interact with the mc anymore? If so, the ending is quite good because the drama makes the story more emotional, helps the mc grow up and helps himself and others realize each other's responsibility and importance.
Good luck to your next game. I understand people's anger towards this ending because they expect a peaceful and perfect ending especially with harem games. Plot details to make the story more exciting, more emotional, help understand the characters more deeply and help them develop themselves are necessary for good vn but in my opinion they should be happens at the beginning, middle, or any point in the story other than the ending. If you say that sometimes life is unfair and not what everyone wants and that applies to the MC, but this is a harem game, it is already something of a fantasy. People choose pure harem games like this because they expect it to be filled with happiness at the end
If you want Serena to sacrifice to make it more meaningful, you should put it before the ending. Maybe many people still don't like it but it reduces people's anger because it will calm people down after serena's disappearance, they focus on looking at happy scenes and lewd scenes XD and also understand The message you want to convey through Serena's sacrifice. You go from happiness-> drama-> pain and sadness--> happiness again but the last "happiness" has too few scenes to comfort everyone after the previous drama scene

Even if it's a scene in the future, please don't think he will fuck his daughter just because he fucked his mom and sister. Maybe he wants his daughter to live near them or is overprotective and the daughter wants to explore the world or she finds something strange but dangerous and wants to explore it?

Ok, my bad and sorry about that. As for his daughter who left home, we don't know the reason yet? and the dev himself said it was a dream, maybe serana did that so that the mc would be motivated to be a better father so his daughter wouldn't leave like that.
Assuming it's true, maybe the girl wants to go to college in another country and the mc doesn't want that or she's an active girl who likes to learn/quite explore things and she found something mysterious but it's dangerous and MC stops her so she decides to leave alone? Dev doesn't even know what's going to happen yet, how can you claim that mc will be a failure as a father? Remember he has a bunch of wives there ready to help him like the same way they took care of each other while mc was unconscious. Imagine you have 5 good wives and some of them have experience raising children. It must be a miracle that you failed at being a father. Dev says "We're not sure if MC is a better man either" not in the sense of "good man" but in becoming better without serena, better than the version with serena's help

No matter how you'd have ended it, some people would've been unhappy. Haven't played this game in a long time, so I can't comment either way. Anyway, congratulations on finishing the game, Seacth. Considering most western H games go into perpetuity even when they run out of steam just to milk Patrons, I appreciate the fact you put a conclusion to the story, despite the financial risk.
Especially being a serial(non-H) game dev with no shipped products, I appreciate you seeing it through to the end.

The ending was an Olympic level of stupid. There's really nothing to learn from it, and saying "lesson learned" just doesn't cut it for a game that spent several years in development only to get trashed in the end and to slap everyone in the face who supported it. Lots of luck to the dev going forward with this hanging over them. They're gonna need it.
The last scene after the credits is not a dream, it is in fact the future. Where we see our old MC as an old, grown man. The dream I was talking about is the scene where we see MC's 'future daughters'.
I'm going to extend the ending a little bit more to give more context of MC's situation, tho.
