I enjoyed the extended harem edition, was very nice.
Maybe it will give some peace to the Serena fans.

Peace

No Honey Select game can't be added on Steam.
It is too bad, game would have probably done well on Steam.
It is very sad to me that your game did not make you much money, I was really surprised to see how few Patreons you actually have.
Your game was well done, had interesting character, good writing, lots of sex. One of the few games that actually had pregnant women in the game. I don't know why your game did not do that well... But it is not because it was not good.

Your game is good, and you are a very good developer. You finished the game even though it did not make a bunch of money.

look at all the games that have been abandoned... but not yours. I thank you for all your hard work.

I wish you well on the next game.
peace

Looking at the devs description of Depths Revival on their SS made me laugh after reading all these posts about the ending.

Description in question:
"Alright, now let's talk about the game Depth's Revival:

Depth's Revival is an adult visual novel that changes with the choices you make through the game. You play as a college student that awakens his subconscious to change his life. With his subconscious help, he can become the man he always wanted to become.

The game itself focuses on romance and character stories. There's no particular main story. It's just you and your subconscious fixing your life while meeting with various girls and experiencing their life stories. And in the end, you can create your harem with all the girls you've met, or you can focus on a single girl and experience further of her story. There are no bad endings on this game, just happiness to escape from all that bullshit the world throws at us."

Anyways, despite the small laugh I got from seeing that, in the end I'm left more so in disappointment in the devs self immolation of any good faith he had with his player base by writing such a terrible ending.
I know a ton of writers would rather take a bullet to the head instead of going back to retcon something they've written when faced with community backlash, but when it comes to something that's been worked on for this long, is it really so bad to put in a bit of extra work to add an option to have a satisfying harem ending? And before the dev argues semantics, this is very much so a bad ending.
I'd much rather have the reputation of someone who's willing to listen to the "fanbase" than have the reputation of someone who has their ego shoved so far up their ass that they would see going back and changing something as "pandering to the cretins" who "oh so unbelievably" wanted to remember a game fondly in the end rather than something you remember in distasteful infamy.

Having something you created criticized so harshly by so many people can be debilitating on someone's creative motivation, but sometimes you just have to sit back and think "yup, I fucked up". There wouldn't be so much backlash if the thing you created wasn't so liked by so many players, so I truly do hope the dev could some day dedicate a bit of time to make an update that changes things before the solo endings. Even if the dev might be feeling bitter at those criticizing the game.
It's just so out of left field that I'm still dazed by it. It raises some questions, Serena is a being that even made the mc capable of fighting multiple guys at once, I had hoped she was able to at least make the mc able to take the gun from that woman.
The game didn't have anything like the ending happening previously, even the whole sister kidnapped thing was resolved fast and we got back to normal.

ME3 ending was a good example, you invested all that time, recruiting people, solving their issues, just to get one fighting chance, and all of that goes up in flames in that ending. The whole time investiment as a player and by the character itself comes down to nothing, mc don't even get to see his kids being born. Meh, it is what it is.

Sure, the tag is there at the top can't you read? it's only at the end and you'll have to search for it very hard, probably multiple playthroughs paying attention to every little detail. I promise.
Took me like 7 to get that goobness

I want to report the bug. In one of the scenes, you can choose if you want Lera to wear lenses in the future. I chose that I want her to wear lenses. Further into the story there's a scene where Lera should be wearing lenses, but she's not. Anyway shows the scene where she is without lenses. If I hadn't downloaded gallery unlocker, I wouldn't have known that scene even exist.

There are no bad endings on this game, just happiness to escape from all that bullshit the world throws at us.

I remember writing that one, it was 4 years ago, not this version but a worse one, and I still think it holds true. We need to lose sometimes to understand the beauty of happiness. Being happy all the time gets old real quick. It was one of the mistakes I've made with DR. There's no real tension, so the rewards don't really feel like a reward.

The ending takes the perfect world from MC and makes him understand how lucky he is to live a life like this one. He still has a happy family in the end and a bright future, and now he values his time with them even more. I still don't understand how this is considered a bad ending? It's not a perfect ending, sure, but a bad one? Fuck no.

Dunno why you guys throw shade at Seacth. He fucking delivered a full game. And with top notch models at that. There are less than 10 good HS games that were finished here.

No dude stop trying to look philosophical your ending is good example of tone deaf and trying to make a edgy shocking ending and you crash out doing it a shame really i really love the rest of the game but that ending .....
I didnt see a ending so bad since game of throne series ending , Star vs the forces of evil ,steven universe etc . You get the point i dont know if i am going to try your next game i dont want to feel that feeling when you are really enjoying a good book ,movie , series ,game and the ending is so bad that left you thinking dam that was really good but that ending left me feel that all that good was for nothing .
I really hope you in the future come back and change the ending it isnt givin you a good rep here for your next game but do what you want i hope the solos endings you dont try to shock us out of nothing i really hope i liked the game before the ending :(

Thanks for your thoughts, mate. I don't have any set plans for the solo paths, I'll figure out what I'll be doing once I actually start my work on them and I don't intend to change the ending, please stop telling me to change it. It is set and done, there's no point arguing about it.

A shame then i really like the rest of the game and is gonna scare a lot people in your future game i hope you at least learn that going for shock and dark endings when the game wasnt going that route out of nothing dosent work . Sorry if i sound very rude but this was like when you have a son that you see a lot of poetential starts going drugs and lost his opportunity of having a great succes in life .

I like your game and I don't have a problem with the ending per-se.
I understand that you feel this is your story, and it is. However, people get invested in characters and get sad if they die.

But I don't see why you would be against a player choice to give the players the one they want. I remember the game Acting Lessons, and how bad that game made me feel... why couldn't the developer give the choice to save both? People begged him to give the choice.... he never did... And I have never played another of his games. Because I just figured he would do it again and make me feel like shit.

Maybe you feel that you need to have this ending, But for me I like happily ever after endings. Because there is already enough sadness and pain in the real world.

peace
