Holy shit people are overreacting. The ending is fine, that is the dev's creative vision, you don't have to like it. But people are acting like they themselves got shot in the head. Maybe some people just cannot mentally handle bad things happening in their harem power fantasy escapism game, idk. I personally get the bittersweet vibe that the dev was going for, and I find it to be satisfying enough.

No dude stop trying to look philosophical your ending is good example of tone deaf and trying to make a edgy shocking ending and you crash out doing it a shame really i really love the rest of the game but that ending .....
I didnt see a ending so bad since game of throne series ending , Star vs the forces of evil ,steven universe etc . You get the point i dont know if i am going to try your next game i dont want to feel that feeling when you are really enjoying a good book ,movie , series ,game and the ending is so bad that left you thinking dam that was really good but that ending left me feel that all that good was for nothing .
I really hope you in the future come back and change the ending it isnt givin you a good rep here for your next game but do what you want i hope the solos endings you dont try to shock us out of nothing i really hope i liked the game before the ending :(
He must of came all over the place when he saw Joker: Folie à Deux’s ending.

Just finished up the extended ending, really helped the story out a lot and I enjoy it much more now. Definitely provided the closure I needed after such a ride even if I still didn't care for the unnecessary drama.

The ending is not nearly as bad as I initially thought reading the comments here. I was expecting AL level low IQ decision making from the dev, but it doesn't come close. It's still a happy ending though with an asterisk. That said, including such an asterisk in otherwise wholesome power fantasy harem porn game is definitely questionable and the "we need to lose sometimes to understand the beauty of happiness" cope from the dev reeks of graphomania. Way better explanation would've been a sequel set up.

Anyway, while this game is excellent, given how it ended and the dev's explanation for it, I'd be extremely suspicious about his future projects, especially if they are again a harem builder. Who knows what the dev decides to randomly take from the player in order to make them "understand the beauty of happiness".

Made a compressed Android port of Depth's Revival Chapter 12.5 (Extended Harem finale) with Symbolsz's gallery unlocker.

Got some basic gestures loaded in: swipe up for save menu, swipe down to hide UI, swipe left to rollback and swipe right to skip. Save files are now stored in the Documents folder. This sometimes means that you may need to close and re-open the port after installing so the save folder is properly created.

Please let me know if you encounter any issues with the port and I'll see what I can do to get them sorted.

Now that i have time to play the game until to the end.

i gotta say the MC getting shot in the head by Sarah mom out of nowhere reminded me of that Muv Luv alternative certain infamous scene.

Lack of foreshadowing/Set-up/Background build-up also contribute on why people hate the ending.

First some foreshadowing such as when character say some relevant topic about MC getting shot whether jokingly or whatever.

Secondly set-up similar to what Yakuza Kiwami did by showing the Flashback/Cutscene of a certain character.

Thirdly Full Circle type of story where at the start MC wants to commit suicide because of wanting to end the suffering and in the end MC needs to sacrifice himself to protect his love ones, only if the dev felt that mc getting shot is important.

Lastly i also played before the extended ending version so i notice and felt that the extended ending kind of felt cheap as if the dev created in response to the backlash.

I personally believe that maybe the dev should try to do the solo path first as a way to learn and improve the harem path ending, that way he can write whatever 'shock' value plan he have in mind then tweak/change/scrap it when he receive criticism while doing the harem path.

i probably just going to observe without pledging while setting the bar low.

no right or wrong, just consequence.

peace out

If you think about it from Sarah's mother's point of view, this entire situation is kinda fucked up and her shooting the MC makes a lot of sense. The way she sees it, you brainwashed her daughter into a sex cult, impregnated her, and kidnapped her to another country. Add on the fact that she's being abused by her husband and Sarah was essentially her emotional and mental anchor and you have a recipe for rash decisions and violent outcomes. The post-marriage drug fueled orgy probably didn't help.

Also, the way you and Sarah talk to her after her outburst after the wedding probably sounded like indoctrination talk to her. "Leave you husband. Join us. You're life will be better here. Leave everything you know behind. It's okay, we'll take care of you." In hindsight probably was fucking terrifying for her to hear...

yea man we should have far more compassion with murderers, why not abolish all prisons while we are at it they had probably good reasons for becoming criminals too its really unfair to lock them up.

See this would have been a neat concept, if it was done properly. We've had no interaction with the mom the entire game and then suddenly at the crux of our journey we're robbed of it's happiness by a plot device only to introduce a deus ex machina in Serena saving us and disappearing because her job is to now fight the bullet in our brain till the end of time. We do spend the game seeing MC doubt himself on being a father but when he finally makes steps to alleviate his issues bam we get shot. We miss the birth but he does come around while they're still babies and is able to raise them. It's still a crummy ending relying on a cheap parlor trick that in all honesty the game really didn't need but with the extended scenes I can walk away feeling better than I did the first time I finished it. I'm still going to be wary of this developer's future projects but that's for me to deal with.
