I don't think it's normalized at all. I think the problem is people, particularly on social media think that everything they see or do speaks for the entire world. When in actuality, there's still vastly more people in the world that don't use social media or even care to compared to the ones that are obsessed with it and can't live without it. My point is things like being a pornstar, escort, etc., is still very much frowned upon in society. People on social media and even in places like this live in this bubble where they think doing porn is as common as wiping their ass but it's not.Feels like with OF being so huge, and so many people making insane money off it its becoming a little more normalized, or atleast understanded why someone would go into a career like this. A lot of the sketchyness of shooting porn is with how the girls are treated, and things that go on behind the scenes (SO much drug use) but with OF it lets women (and men tbf) have so much more control with how things happen.
All that said, If I went out with someone and they said the had sex for money it would be a pretty big turnoff and kind of a deal breaking as a partner, however wouldn't affect a friendship at all. Like if a friend suddenly said hey I've started doing OF I'd just say great, go get the bag and move on.
Games like this overuse the pornstar trope. When all else fails, sell your pussy. It's a cheap way create drama in stories, here you have people in this thread either bashing the character Jilla for her choice or white knight simping for the character. It created drama and that sadly has overshadowed the whole game and will continue to. Never mind the fact the this guy still should be locked away somewhere and not roaming the streets spazzing out.
